Once we wake up and Burnella talks about the boots made from the snake skins Felix will speak up."Well, I'm okay with that if no one has a problem. You don't mind carrying them, until we get back to the boat. I mean it's only fair if you hold it right?" Felix hands her the 6 snake skins. He then starts to look around.
According to Felix, the party is going in the right direction. Tomorrow evening, or in two days at worst, they will get to Mbala. Day 15 seems to offer nothing more dangerous than the rain. It is not too awful and the party gets a chance to refill the waterskins.
OOC day 15 is done, too. Unless you want to do something specific, we are good to go to day 16.

Irommek wakes and applies his repellent and notices that the area where the snakes bit him are only slightly sore to the touch now. It's a good reminder of the dangers of the jungle he thinks to himself.
Taking out the map, Irommek studies the path up to Mbala to make sure they don’t get side tracked again and see if there are any details on the city itself that might help navigate it and easily locate where the witch may have taken up residence and where there might be places to avoid ghosts if they can.
OOC: Survival check with the cartographer’s tools (19)
Irommek's compass is a powerful item, indeed. The good dwarf tracks the trip to the hills with an accuracy that would put an elf to shame.
During the night, Oniss experiences a weird dream. He finds himself floating over the Aldani Basin. Strangely, the swampy waters of the reflect his image. After a while, the reflection sink in the water and vanishes.
The sixteenth day is cloudy but otherwise pleasant. The party finally reaches the hills in the late afternoon. Travelling a bit further, they could reach the spot where Mbala is supposed to be in the evening.
OOC The Spoiler box is meant for Oniss. It is up to him whether he wants to share it or not. Now, the party can reach Mbala in the evening, or camp for the night and reach it in the morning.
"I have a feeling that we're slowly running out of time. With the detour and everything, we have lost 16 days now and we still have not a single clue as to where we should be going. I strongly suggest we start pushing forward in every way possible - including travelling at a faster pace. I think, as a group we're strong enough to fight surprise attacks the same way as we did put down those snakes. It will be more dangerous, but hopefully we can save more souls that way. So I think we should push on all the way to Mbala before dark."
OOC Let me know which kind of source of light do you use to proceed. Also, you can roll a Perception check, if you wish.
The party continues the journey through the evening. After 3 hours, they finally see the hill where Mbala is.
A 1,800-foot-high plateau with sheer cliffs rises above heaps of boulders as large as ships. A narrow path is cut into the cliff face and seems to climb all the way to the top.
The path is a much easier route to the top. It begins on the north side of the plateau. Through many switchbacks, it winds across the cliff face for 3 miles before reaching the top. The path width varies but averages 5 feet. Tumbled boulders and tangled roots block the path in many places, but as long as party members aren’t being chased by anything, they can clear the obstructions safely. The first ascent takes 3 hours; once the road is cleared, it can be climbed or descended in half that time.
About a hundred feet below the lip of the plateau, the path (which is proceeding west across the cliff at that point) veers directly into a natural cleft in the stone face. Steps are cut into the 15-foot-wide crevice, and scenes of jungle predators, flying lizards, and erupting volcanoes are carved in shallow relief onto the walls in ways that make creative use of the natural shape of the rock.
The stone steps emerge onto the top of the plateau beneath a once grand, but now decrepit wooden gateway. The gates that sealed this entrance are rotted away; only their rusted iron hinges and reinforcing bands remain. In their place are heaps of human skulls. Picked clean of all flesh and bleached white by the sun, they grin up at you from the roadway and down from atop towering mounds.

Gertrude, who pushed for speed this same afternoon, not motions for caution. This place is very different to anything she expected. It's definitely not a little 'hill' and it doesn't look welcoming a all. Then again, she loves finally walking up high again, even though it is not high enough to make for a change of temperature, it still makes her feel more at home than in the twisted jungle where they spent the last two weeks.
She walks with a torch in her hand up those steps in the front of her group (OOC: probably walking second, maybe Felix still ahead with his perception? But ready to take any blow or avoid any traps).
She has had her eyes back and front for the whole climb, trying to distinguish features in the rock from actual beings (perception check: 16 ). When getting to the top and going through the gate, she will also check for traps (investigation check: 18)
Perception23 Kurma, holding a torch, is inspecting the entrance for any sign that would shows if any creature is present.
From the top of the hill, and thanks to a beam of moonlight, Kurma spots a building to the west, like a ziggurat. It seems several tens of miles away, but daylight is needed for a more accurate estimation of the distance.

Gertrude spots nothing of particular interest and it seems there are no traps near the gate.

Felix continues forth once night approaches and seeing the othes with torches pulls his moon touched rapier. As we reach the gate and see the heaps of bones "I like it reminds me of home. Seeing Gertrude try to look for traps will move in front "I don't think it's trapped but I'll keep an eye out."

Felix does not notice any kind of trap. The place is creepy but not dangerous...not yet, at least.
The rest of the day and the night pass with no further troubles. Day 15 presents itself with a light rain.
