"Bah!" Randrak exclaims angrily. "How did we manage to draw the attention of not one but all three green dragons? I would have thought the city would have kept them busy. Unless, we have something they want?"

Freak and Uldran you release the bolt with a resounding thwak! It sparks blue fire as it passes through the magical barrier raised by the Rune Shaper and to your utter delight it strikes true embedding deep in the dragons right leg. The beast roars in pain and drops on of the objects it is carrying. Screams of terror and then agony fill the air as you see that the basket like structures contain goblins. You watch as a mob of the creatures meet their grissly end as they sink beneath the lava.
Mercwri, unfortunately you plucky attack falls short of its target, but the sentiment was appreciated by all.
OOC: (Group Roll) As mentioned from the outset I will at times make rolls for the group to save breaking the flow of action. Initiative is one of this times and this is another. The roar of the Dragon causes fear and everyone except for Randrak is frightened for the next round and must roll all attacks and ability checks at disadvantage. If you posses a trait or ability to negate this just state what it is on your round and make the adjustment to your roll as required. You can always send me a PM if it causes complications. From now on I will simply type GR in bold to indicate that a Group Roll has taken place.
The dragon continues to advance however and you are certain of your doom. Terror grips you all and you become frightened for the first round of combat. All except Randrak who is way to pissed off to be scared. Randrak you give the dragon your best stink eye until it reaches the blue barrier and arcs of bright energy spear outward into its body causing it to screech in pain. Beating its vast wings the dragon rises upward to avoid the magical onslaught. Once above the ship and free of the eldritch barrier it releases the second container sending it hurtling toward the deck.
The huge basket shatters on impact spraying goblins and parts of goblins all across the deck. Most of them are mangled and killed on hitting the hard stone others are sent hurtling over the side to land screaming and flailing into the molten rock 6 of them survive and attack the crew.
(posting intentions) Hitticus being the coward he is, plans to shove the nearest goblin over the edge, then cast sanctuary on Freak in order to keep him safe loading the ballista.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Randrak takes a neat slice out of the nearest goblin but misses with the second attack.
OOC: Special attack rules: I will allow the loading and firing of the bolt thrower as a free action between runs so no need to hold that action Uldran. Hitticus give me a standard attack roll for that shove. Mercwri nice try but that dragon breath has overpowered your moxy on this occasion ;)
Crew rolls :
Captain : Occupied steering
Salvas : Holding the barrier
Mender : Repairing the bow damage
Torg : 7 for 16
Crew 1 : Tending lines
Crew 2 : 20 for 4
Crew 3 : 19 for 4
Crew 4 : 17 for 8
Torg takes the head from one of the golbins as it approaches Salvas and one of the crew manage to shove a goblin overboard. It falls back screaming before the lava silences it forever. Four goblins remain and high above the second dragon turns and begins to descend.
Hitticus you try to shove the goblin 5, already injured by Randrak's attack it is helpless to fight back and you send it screaming over the edge and into the lava!
Uldran you focus on the goblin behind Hitticus 12, it fails to resist the spell and frost grips its form.
Goblin 1 17 for 5
Goblin 2 12 for 7
Goblin 3 Attack: 9 Damage: 0 for 8
Mender takes an arrow to the arm as a goblin fires down from the forward observation deck. The goblin behind you Hitticus is slowed by Uldrans spell and misses you completely. Three goblins remain, one at the bow, one midships fighting a crewman and one frozen nearly to death behind Hitticus.
Mercwri you are up!
OOC: The shove should have been at disadvantage Hitticus but I will allow the roll and carry your fear over to the next round automatically to keep things moving and even matters out ;)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Torvin your hammer takes the goblin in the torso with meaty crunch that sends it sailing over the side of the ship. Only two now remain, but more are coming!
The second dragon is almost upon you now, its deadly payload clutched tightly in its claws. Freak and Uldran you try to load the bolt thrower in time but the gears become jammed and the bolt springs out of place. The dragon advances, learning from the agony of its companion it glides upward above the magical barrier that surrounds the Stoneship. Gouts of green poison and magical energy sizzle harmlessly against the shield. With a roar of frustration the second dragon opens its claws to send caged goblins hurtling toward the deck.
Blue fire scorches many of them as they pass through the barrier and once again the impact shatters the cage that held them sending small green bodies flying everywhere. Once the dust settles 7 clamber to their feet to fight. That's nine goblins on the deck now!!
OOC: Initiative Reminder. Uldran and Mercwri you resist fear this round, everyone else is at disadvantage!
OOC: Yes, Uldran and Freak have been firing it at the Dragons for the past two rounds. It is a two Dwarf job. Or do you mean the loading crane on the middle of the deck?
Apologies I can see that you probably are referring to the crane now.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Oh that's the crane.
Randrak continues his assault on the goblins. He moves to the closest one and swings his weapons once again. Although, not he feels a little unnerved by the whole ordeal.
Attack 1: 11 to hit for 3
Attack 2: 17 to hit for 2

OCC But Mercwri is a bit plowed and insensitive; fearless like a tipsy fool?
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
(intentions)
I am holding my action until Freak loads the ballista then I will attack whichever dragon still has a basket 9 (with disadvantage)
Uldran Sporebringer | Lvl 2 Dwarf Druid | Stonebound
Allorian Silverfin | Lvl 1 Rogue | Gillesburg
Aware of his lack of ranged fighting capabilities, Randrak heads to the nearest goblin, he swings with his shortsword first, then his dagger.
Attack 1: 17 to hit for 3

Freak feels fear sooner than he hoped, but it will go away if they could take the dragons down. He attempts to load the balista again. STR: 9
He looks over his shoulder, ready to dodge any attack.
You are correct. I will try to remember door next round.
Attack: 10 Damage: 10
Mercwri, a bit chagrined, takes careful aim at the goblin fighting the crew and lets fly another bullet.
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
Mercwri, the cursed bullet lands wide of the mark and Freak you huddle down to avoid notice while you spy your chance to load the bolt thrower.
Torvin you are up to end round one!

Torvin will move to the closest Goblin and attack with his warhammer at disadvantage
