The bones clear away to reveal a large, shifting hole, going to who knows where. Skeletal hands reach out at Donos as he reveals the hole, but he is far enough away to escape their reach.

Inspecting the walls, Rhaecus sees that they shift and move rapidly, almost mesmerizingly, but if there is a way back he can't spot it. The wall is solid, despite how its bones flow and shift. He makes his way stealthily down the passage opposite the voice, and finds himself confronted with several more options.
(We can avoid the mindless navigation in this maze with skill checks, you can roll investigation as you move through the maze, which will determine whether you get more lost, get closer to the exit, get eaten by a tarrasque hiding in the walls, or anything else that might happen)

Donos takes his pack off his back and looks inside for the first time since he awoke in the afterlife, curious if it has his usual adventuring equipment inside. Thankfully it appears it does. He takes out the coil of rope and ties one end around his waist and tosses the other end to Kaneis.
Donos leaps into the hole, and it swiftly closes around him like a massive maw. The rope loses more and more length into the hole, until it goes taut. Donos is stuck in complete darkness, with skeletal hands grabbing at him, puling him further in, while the rope holds him in place. It feels like he's being ripped apart.

Rhaecus stumbles along in the maze, unable to find his way. He turns down passage after passage, and the grinding, scraping sound grows louder, then quieter, then louder again. For the most part he manages to stay far away from it, except for a moment when he takes a wrong turn down a passage he'd been through before, and spots a weathered, bony hulk disappearing around a corner. He doesn't get a good look, but it appears to be at least 10 feet tall, and is dragging some sort of rusty weapon on the ground behind it. Additionally, it possesses a set of twisting horns protruding from the sides of its skull, which are so large that they carve deep grooves into the walls.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Donos realizes he can either try climbing back up and out of the hole or continue down. Not knowing what is happening to Rhaecus he unties the rope around his waist and surfs the skeletal hands downwards.
Kaneis turns to Arteusa and Zaela, shrugging at untied length of rope in her hands. "No use standing up here. We can always come back if our ventures result in something more fatal than intended."
With that, she clutches her valuables closer, and apprehensively wades into the grasping pile of bones.
Donos, Kaneis, and Zaela are all spat out of the walls and find themselves in a maze of bone. Again the grating voice calls out. Everyone in the maze can hear it.
"M o r e !"
Rhaecus stays put, and the scraping(DM screen noises) moves away. The other team, however, hears it growing closer.

He looks around at Kaenis and Zaela to see if they're alright.
"Now this seems more like the labyrinth I heard old Minos had under his place," Donos looks around the maze as he speaks. "Wasn't there some monster or creature down there?"
He sighs. What troublesome companions, coming after him like this... Then again, he should have expected nothing less. He tries to quietly follow the monstrosity from behind. Clearly they intend to fight it, in which case he will surprise it with pointy pain.
Kaneis takes out her crossbow, finding humor in the interaction she had just heard. "Do you think we should call out for Rhaecus? Assuming he's still alive, of course."

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Donos shouts down into the hole.
”Rhaecus, can you hear me?”
No response.

"Tie this off for me, please." Donos says.
Then he jumps into the hole after Rhaecus.

Rhaecus just remains still and silent for now, trying to track the movement of the bone-creature by sound. He does not want to run into that thing...

Donos swings his shield into position and readies his trident.
"Was the cow friendly?" Donos asks Zaela.
Zaela scratches her head for a moment, trying to remember, "No. It ate people, I believe."
She then readies her staff.
