Entering the small hall, Kasian will take a moment to examine the demonic carvings lining the walls (particularly the one the skeletal kenku was apparently pointing at.
"Hey I think he found something," Kasian quietly tells the group. "Pretty sure there's a passage way behind here." Taking a moment to investigate, he'll find the switch and activate it opening up the new pathway. "Might be a couple of other pathways hidden here as well. Let me double check." Moving around to each of the other carvings, he'll eventually find the second secret pathway and open it up as well. Noticing the peepholes on this door though, he'll silently motion to the others that they may have enemies lurking down this particular path.
(Ooc: I'm assuming we're able to open the doors, let me know if thats not the case and I'll adjust)
Cade notices the carvings but doesn't give them much of a look, seeing his companions are checking it out. he moves on to the stairs, but does not descend. Rubbing a hand over a smoothed piece of wood, hanging from a cord around his neck, he would keep watch at the stairs as the others check out the carvings.
Cade from your vantage point, you can see two dark figures in AREA 2B that you can't make out making a piss poor attempt to hide behind two of the pillars. Unless you move closer, you can't tell who or what they are, but you can definitely tell something is hiding in the darkness.
A secret door opens to reveal an empty 10-foot-square cubicle with a 5-foot-wide tunnel of rough-hewn stone leading away from it. The tunnel descends slightly until it reaches a room that smells like a sewer. The room contains the following features that you can examine:
Flood. The floor of the room tilts — its west end is 6 feet lower than its east end. Foul sewer water covers the floor, barely reaching the east wall but deepening by 1 foot for every 10 feet of travel westward.
Statue. A wide alcove in the north wall contains a life-size statue of a sahuagin, submerged up to its chest in sewer water. The statue emits a dim purple radiance, its head is completely turned around, and one of its arms has broken off and is nowhere to be seen.
"Ugh...That's...unpleasant. Well, after you Mad Eye" Kasian will comment, secretly hoping to avoid the worst of the smell by going last down the passage.
"Two figures hiding in this direction." It is in Cade's voice, but sounding much less timid than usual. He looks at each of you in turn as the message forms in your mind. (using mental speech.)
He holds his position as he waits to see if the group wishes to deal with the two figures now, or if they wish to check out the slanted room first.
Cade quickly fills each of the group in, again using mental speech, just informing them each that there are 2 figures, unknown as to what or who at this point. He can only tell they are there, not anything about them.
He stays near the stairs as he fills the group in, his over-large, glowing red, eyes moving to each person in turn, as he informs them of the state of the figures he spotted.
As soon as he hears the sounds of footsteps fleeing down one of the pathways, Kasian will spring into motion. Before charging ahead rather heedlessly, he'll yell to the others "Being stealthy will only give them time to set-up traps; we need to take the fight to them!" As soon as he has the figures vaguely in his sights, he'll bellow "Halt or your lives are forfeit!"
(Dash action to chase after them and if possible use passive perception to keep an eye out for anything obviously dangerous on the path after them.)
Dead Goblin.A dead goblin lies on the floor. It's skull looks bashed in by some sort of tool.
Tools. Three pickaxes and two shovels rest atop piles of rubble at the mouth of a 5-foot-wide, 5-foot-high tunnel that meanders through collapsed stone.
AREA 25B
Half-buried in stone debris at the north end of this partially collapsed hall is a headless stone statue of a nude woman. Characters who take time to clear the rubble find the statue’s head, which resembles the head of a cobra with its fangs bared.
You see no bugbears, but a double door and a single door, which has been opened.
"Ha ha!" And Mad Eye will take off after Kasian, however he has a trick, if need be he'll move 30 feet, then feline agility another 30 feet, and if that still hasn't caught him up to the fleeing creatures, he'll dash another 30 feet, otherwise combat will ensure.
Cade sees the others sprint down the stairs and off after the fleeing figures. With a glance around he shrugs and follows after. He tries to match their speed the best he can, with his much shorter legs.

"We seem to have lost them."
