Davril will move with the group, but stay off to one side, and if we're headed up a flight of steps, he'll watch the rear and let the others go first before following.
The first room the party moves into is a very large room. The ceiling has clearly collapsed, with the sun shining directly down into the room. The floor is covered with several inches of sediment and debris making it impossible to identify any hidden doors in the floor of the room.
There are several doors leading out of the room, with two doors on the north wall, one door on the south wall and a single door on the east wall. Vothrolo will follow the party into the room, but, will remain near the back of the group. "The dogs I ran into were in this front room, with the stirges milling about near the eastern door. I don't see either group here at the moment."
Lukas does not notice any other creatures in the large room.
As Davril starts tapping on the walls, Vothrolo watches silently for a minute before speaking up. "Umm, I know we ultimately want to find secret doors to the lower level, but, perhaps we should try one of the non-secret doors first. They do suggest that there are additional rooms on the other side of these walls." (Davril's tapping seems to confirm this).
"Yeah as much as I hate to suggest it, why doesn't everybody let Quiller and I handle the scouting and opening of doors and the rest of you can keep us covered from what ever we may reveal. At least that is if Quiller agrees." Quin suggests quietly. To excentuate the point the young rogue moves to the east door and performs the folowing sequence of actions.
He firsts listens at the door, if he hears no sound he tries the latch, if not locked he visual looks around the room waiting for acknowledgment from the others before throwing the door open with just enough force that it opens quickly but doesn't bang against the wall. He ends by ducking back out of the way clearing the way should any threats be exposed. If no threats are exposed then he will slip into the room.
(OCC: this is the typical method Quin will use for any door he encounters with in this ruin. He will not open the door till everyone posts they are ready)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Quiller examines ‘his’ door he will delicately examine the crack between the door and frame for anything out of the ordinary. He’ll listen and sniff the air along the crack, also trying to discern anything odd or out of place.

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
As Quiller walks across the room, he steps over decaying leaves, broken branches, and pieces of rubble from the collapsed ceiling. There are fragments of metal and large pieces of glass scattered among the debris covering the floor.
Nearing the door, the half-elf notices that it is barely hanging from its hinges. He can see through gaps in the ancient wood. From the light he can see through these gaps, it appears that the ceiling has also collapsed in this room as well.
Listening at the door, Quiller can hear something moving around on the other side of the door, but, can’t tell what is there. Quin is able to see shapes that are about knee high moving around. The shadows and light make it difficult to tell what the shapes are.
Quiller waves at the others, stepping slowly back from the door, he points at the door and then holds his finger to his lips. When he’s far enough away, he’ll say in a low whispers, “Lots of movement from behind there. Don’t know what, but they’re smallish and there is quite a few, best be ready for all hell to break loose.” He points his crossbow in that general direction.

Balthazar moves to support with spells in readiness for whatever lies ahead, standing a few feet behind!
Davril follows slightly behind the rogues, ready to intervene if needed.
lukas does the same as davril, but is keeping close to the VIP.
Seeing that the majority of the party seemed ready and assuming the rest would fall in when needed Quin opens the door ducking back as he does.

Quin draws a dagger, and from his place crouching next to the door, begins to use it to tap on the door jam softly.

In response to Quin's tapping, a low growl is heard from the other side of the door.
Lukas is ready, shield up, sword drawn.
Quin digs in a pouch for a ration and tosses it just inside the door in sight of everyone then moves back a step.

Davril nods and raises his spear in both hands, muttering quietly to himself, "I should have stopped for a shield on the way."
"aye. you should have"
