I'm keeping the recruiting open through this weekend, and I'll make selections on Tuesday the 22nd. I'll answer questions as I can, so go ahead and throw them at me.
Thanks! Anything to know about warlocks in this campaign?
@SavageVince - Still recruiting until Tuesday (10/22), so you're in with plenty of time. :) As far as Pantheon, I'll probably just use the FR pantheon, as I don't feel like creating my own. :P This means that Lathandar is pretty much toast, per my recent additional background information.
@rkmobius - They're definitely allowed...there will probably be a bit more "temptation" around them, and sorcerer's too. There are some faster ways to gain power that aren't really a walk on the Light Side, if you get my drift. :) I'm all about throwing temptation out there for the characters, and letting them make the decisions for themselves just which path they're wanting to walk.
> As a side note, the Warlock Patron of the Undead is available. Please choose it....please? Make your DM happy.**
Encouraging an undead themed Warlock. Consider my interest piqued, and Trevor Nightshade at your service. A human who lost everything to the rise of the kings, and has buried himself looking for hidden knowledge to find ways to strike back at them. Firmly in the "fight fire with fire" camp, he has been recruited by a powerful undead being [exact nature TBD to fit the setting, but I'm currently thinking some form of ghost that manifests itself as Trevor's tome] to not only counter the kings' own undead army, but to find a way to subvert it and wrest control of it to put the tyrants to the sword by their own creation. He is so driven by his desire for revenge that he willingly fails to understand what the consequences of this might be. Trevor has lost all faith in deities, as they stood by and allowed all of this destruction to occur.
(Alternate concept would be for a Bard/Spirit College, Sylona, a half elf. The spirits of those lost in the blight whisper to her, and at times she seems to be a bit mad due to it. Most of the time, however, she appears quite normal, although she has a penchant for dressing up like a stereotypical fortune teller when she wants to work a crowd.)
Backstory: Six-ten and nearly five-hundred pounds by the age of 14, Biri was destined to be known by something other than her birth name. Her chalk-red scales gave her the appellation 'little brick' before she was out of diapers. As she hit her adolescent growth spurt, becoming almost as wide as tall, this shifted to 'Brickhouse'. At her mother's advice, she learned to wear it as a badge.
Until recently, Biri's life has been a straightforward one, defined by her family and the blight. The youngest daughter of Baroness Benikanderandyr, she was slated for knighthood before she was even born. The rural barony was cut off from it's neighbors by some of the worse concentrations of the blight. Luckily the same defensible positioning that had led the barony to be founded where it was led to the keep being able to survive extended undead siege. That being said, Dragonborn generations are short, and the family tree forks less than the family would like. Thus, as the blight receded, Biri's family has made a point of sending her out into the world.
Being raised under a state of siege focused Biri's life toward militant interests excessively, and upon leaving home she found herself at a complete loss as to how to act outside of fighting, training, and manual labor. Not speaking common magnified that sense of being lost. A few semi-successful jobs as a mercenary didn't fill the void. What did was falling in with a gnomish family who considered it a mitzvah to try to broaden her horizons. That year taught her the love of good food and good cheer, and gave her some perspective on why life is worth preserving. It also led her to finding her calling under the Oath of The Ancients, and to loosing her virginity to a satyr who has recently decided that, yes, in fact, there is such a thing as being too drunk.
BTW, since this is going to be PBP, might I suggest that we use the optional rule for Initiative Scores in the DMG? Essentially, instead of rolling initiative you use a fixed score equal to your Dex+Init mod. I find that cuts a day or more off of the resolution of every combat scene.
Backstory: Varis grew up unpopular since he was a drow. And because of this wasn't awarded the opportunity to pursue a glamourous career, but was taken in by a local undertaker to help build the coffins. He eventually managed to garner a membership with his carpentry skills, predominantly building coffins still, but also various other pieces of furniture and housing. The kings' ability to raise the dead festered curiosity in Varis so he sought out a mentor in secret to learn how the necromantic skills allowed the kings to raise an army. In his mind, Varis was still angry at being ostracized, but also thought "Why hire help when I can simply raise them?" He continues his practice in secret, but ultimately craving the power seen in the kings.
That's everybody (I think). If I missed anybody let me know and I will edit the post.
I have sorted the submissions by class to help people pick out what they feel might be missing. The notably absent classes are Bard, Sorcerer, and Druid...looks like everything else has at least 1 entry (if you count mine for both Barb and Fighter since I MCed). So if you want to stand out from the crowd I would recommend one of those. I thought about sorc since I have only played wizards and artificers before...but like I mentioned, TWF barbarian has really been itching at me, even though I know mechanics wise it is not as good as great weapon barbarians...just seems like an interesting archetype to play.

Note I did have a alternate concept in my initial post, for a Bard:

Name: Org Race: Half-Orc Class: Druid-Moon 2/Sorcerer-Draconic 1 Alignment: Chaotic Good Background: Outlander Backstory: I am Org. I am shaman to my tribe or was. I come from the wasted lands, the hard lands, the lands humans leave us to dwell in. We made a home there, hunting, gathering, and even growing things. Then the war came to us. It destroyed my people. I am the last. I came to the civilized world to find those responsible for the destruction of my clan. What I found were people like me, destroyed by these wars and the desire others have for power. Humans can't seem to stop themselves. It is like an ancient one said, "Humans have a hole in their heart that they can not fill, no matter how hard they try." I came for revenge but I now work alongside these to stop what is happening to the people, to the land. I am Org. Shaman of the Wolf Clan.

Any chance you'd allow a homebrew class? I need to play test it a bit more;

@Bunni - Sorry, not opening the door to homebrew stuff at this time. This is my first 5E PbP game, so I'd like to ease myself in to it a little more.

Tempted to try a wizard, even if it's tough to get training and many spells.

I am also interested. What character archetypes are you missing? What would make you happy?
I think there's enough people that there's going to need to be party-selection, so it's hard to say what the party does or doesn't have.
On that note seems like a summary of submissions might be helpful? I like putting those together anyways.
Trian Porterson - Variant Human Barbarian/Fighter
Zeal Ominus - Aasimar War Cleric
Whitley Boldleaf - Halfling Trickery Cleric
Leoperos - Forest Elf Monk (subclass undisclosed)
Alex Lightfeather - Human Ranger (subclass undisclosed)
Dame Biri "Brickhouse" Benikanderandyr - Dragonborn Oath of the Ancients Paladin
Mialee Stirag - Half-elf Rogue (Thief)
Delvus Ellkel - Variant Eladrin Rogue (Assassin)
Sage - Human Rogue (subclass undisclosed)
Balm - Half-elf Warlock (subclass undisclosed)
Trevor Nightshade - Human Undead Warlock (Pact of the Tome)
Trevin Sirdon - Human Evocation Wizard
Varis Nightbreeze - Drow Necromancy Wizard
That's everybody (I think). If I missed anybody let me know and I will edit the post.

I'm happy to play a bard instead of Varis if need be. I do love playing bards, and not to sleep with everyone, but just the versatility.
@Shaenteo - are you okay with us submitting a second character, in this case a bard, if we feel we could submit something that might work better?
Oh Balm's absolutely undead patron warlock. Was holding off on sharing more info/sheet until picks are made.
Note I did have a alternate concept in my initial post, for a Bard:
DM question: do you have the corebook content unlocked?
DM- Azalin's Doom
DM- Surviving the Unsurvivable
I have created a Tiefling Bard for your approval. She is a self-proclaimed diplomat, on important business for a distant lord. Which may even be true.
