"Very well. I've just had a report - the patrolling enemies move in a regular pattern, as I suspected. Two groups of three, circling village in opposite directions, crossing paths every few minutes. I would recommend that we keep Samael's more destructive abilities in reserve for the collected fighters and the king, if we can avoid doing collateral damage to the prisoner, who, I have now confirmed, is Frankie Fourfingers. Well, Twofingers, now, but that's besides the point. This leaves us with the problem of the two groups of three circling the village. My friend, who as you may have guessed is my familiar, can probably assassinate one of the frogmen with relative ease, though he cannot face down three on his own. Perhaps we might strike in unison - one of Samael's spells to clear one group, while my imp attempts to assassinate one of the others. I worry that this strategy may lead to a standoff, as the King might assume we are after his prisoner, but if it comes to it, I think this is still our best option to deal a deadly blow to the forces of the enemy. There is, however, another idea, which I will relate to you at the end of our rest. Now, if you excuse me, I must tend to these wounds as best I can."
(DM, I assume these conversations are taking place after we find a place for our night's short rest, correct?)
((All right, so when we are taking a short rest, Trinjya will bring up her Song of rest))
Trinjya listens to Horatio's description and thinks to her self how much easyer her life would have been with a servant like his. Then she replies:
"Interesting, we can get the patrols at the rendezvous-point Toadsi might be able to take out all of them at once. I think the big unknown factor is the King, do you have a closer description? What kind of armor is he wearing, how does his weapon look like. You said it's enchanted, but how do you know?"
((Trinjya will spend some hit dice during the rest healing up for:
Song of rest: 2
HD: 8
I'll roll a second d6 for Song of rest assuming that Sirq is doing it too and your previous ruling of advantage for doing it twice is still valid.
Sor2: 5
Ignore this roll if Sirq does not think playing music is a good idea in our current situation like people who are more reasonable than Trinjya would do.
Also, there is no need to spend AG on food yet, Trinjya has some rations left and would share them with the group, even Samael would get some . ))
(( hm too late I was. Spark, did you add the SoR Bonus too your heal already?))
With an doubting expression on her face Trinjya's eyes wander between the tree and Samael for a brief moment, then she sighs.
"I think it is every child dream to live in a tree house some time. Let's get some rest and prepare for tomorrow. I'll take last watch."
With that, she settles down, and starts preparing some of her food rations. Later, she takes her flute and sarts to play a soft but relaxing tune (the SoR)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Morn takes up his station to watch over the group as they prepare rest for the evening, looking out over the swamp he watches for any unusual movement (Perception: 11).
((Yoshiguy hasn't posted on the forums in a few days, so I'll say that Sirq plays his Song of Rest, and I'll say his +5 to Performance is good enough that the two bards are able to play enough to provide benefit without drawing undue attention.))
The night passes quietly, each of you taking your turns as needed, until just before dawn, as Trinjya is making her rounds, and leans up against what she took to be part of the old, rotted out tree, but is actually a large, spore laden fungus that puffs out a cloud the settles over the camp!
Trinjya coughs, but already being on her feet, staggers out of the hollow, and is able to draw in reasonably fresh swamp air instead of a lungful of spores.

Horatio will use his last AG for party rations after we find a good spot for the night.

((Apparently the forum ate my post asking for a survival check to find shelter...))
((Also, Trinjya, give me a Performance check to be able to get the benefits of song of rest without giving away your position.))

7 survival check
(also, I use 2 hit die to recover 10 health, alongside getting my magic back)
(BTW, what's the xp count for everyone after that skirmish?)
(Uhh, where's survival?)
((You just rolled it.))
Samael heads off, and finds an old, rotted out tree that ought to at least provide some amount of shelter.
((Also, it's a second unit of rations unless you're drinking swamp water.))
