The girl looks between Kallista and the spider cloak, convinced it's just going to come alive and eat her.
"You're.... not scared of it?" she asks, timidly. "Or the big scary man?"
Barna nods, though she does look thoroughly disappointed.
"That's fair." she says, rinsing off the bandages and only when she sees her reflection in the water does she notice the blonde streak in her bangs. She dunks her head under the faucet to wash the slime out of her hair. After wringing it out, she goes over to Aelar and punches him in the shoulder, not hard, but enough to sting.
"You ass! Why didn't you say anything?" she says, going back to the water to look at her hair. "I look like a skunk..." she complains. Aelar has seen her almost naked and she didn't bat an eye, but THIS she gets embarrassed about?
The blonde streak really doesn't look bad on her, though. Pouting, Barna gathers up the rest of the bandages and marches back to the Mission.
"Fine! Whatever. Go do your Nest thing, then. I'll be by the saloon soon as I find a HAT I can hide this under..." she grumbles.

Leon was excited to meet Sir Geoffery. A knight of such old age must know much about the secrets of martial combat, and he hoped just for an instant that the knight may be willing to teach him.

(Maybe a small recap is in order? Not that too much had happened, it's only the 4th or 5th-day in-game, but it did span over almost 1k messages.
Also, are we assuming the three reached Geoffrey already?)

Aelar gives Barna a quizzical look. "Ouch! Say something? Why? And why hide it? It makes you look," Aelar changes what he was going to say at the last second from sexy to, "more attractive, at least to me. Exotic. I like it." The elf does his best to convey that while he is 100 percent sincere, he also isn't interest in Barna that way. He likes her, but as a friend.
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
Barna pouts still, and as they walk back to the mission with the bandages, she bumps him with her hip.
"... Thanks..." she mumbles, then hurries off ahead of him.
The dwarf's Hearth cloister is near the Hawk's Nest. Balgrim was supposedly doing work for them to try and uncover a mole in the their ranks who's been diverting resources to the nobles. He could probably help Aelar slip past the gate guards. He could also see if Leon's lady friend has come back for him.
The child looks to Kallista, and tries her best to look brave.
"If... you're not scared, then I'm not scared...." she murmurs, then seems like she's more able to concentrate.
"I don't remember seeing it, but I think it smelled like..... ummmm.... it smelled like it would taste hot. Like the spice cookies mama makes. And um, yes, papa was shaking... a lot. Like he couldn't get warm."
Kallista now knows she's looking for an herb with a spicy scent to cure fever. If she wants to try and discern the herb needed now, the DC check will be 14. If she gets a little more information out of the girl, she can lower that DC check.
((Recap for Leon))
((Everyone kind of did their own thing separate from the group for a while, focusing on their own goals. Hyre has been visiting an old knight named Geoffrey, Balgrim (whose player is MIA, I still haven't heard back from him) is now living and working with the Dwarven Hearth cloister full time. Any of you can call upon his help for things you want to do around town now to roll with advantage, providing it's something he CAN help with and/or you factor in sufficient time for him to arrive. Aelar has been making plans to get into the public library in the elitist Hawk's Nest to find answers about his connection to the dragon Raia, while Lazlo has been making good on his newfound skills to assist his lover Carmine and her brothers at the Horseshoe Saloon, which the group is now living at thanks to Kallista taking a dangerous job with her employer Grimbuld to collect troll blood for healing salves needed by Sister Daar's mission due to Guiston Watchmen from the Nest forcibly removing homeless from the streets through violence that left eight people badly beaten. Kallista's efforts have given them a full week's worth of rent.
Hyre is looking to improve their station by learning to be a cook for Hana, the owner of the Horseshoe Saloon, and now that he's through work, he, Lazlo, and Leon are heading over to meet with Geoffrey, who is an old friend of Hana's late husband and Aelar is about to head to the Nest.))
((Now rolling to see if Leon's tiefling mystery lover drops by his workplace during HIS shift. Also, I forgot to roll for Leon's two previous shifts, which I am going to assume he did his best at))
Mystery woman visitation: 47
Leon's BOT STR roll: 9 Smithing had a success. I messed up, so consider this a freebie XD
You can make your own roll for your STR and Smithing for this morning's work Leon.

Woman's build: Height: 1 13 +72... LOL holy crap, okay. She's 6'7". Attributes: 37 9 10 48 2 15 3
Allllrighty then XD this is a hoot.
Early in the morning, Duncan calls out Leon due to a customer wanting to see him. When he emerges from his work, he sees the familiar bronze skin and golden hair of the tiefling he woke up beside the other day. It seems she was quite eager to see him again. She's certainly taller than he remembers. She wears a lower-class noblewoman's dress, definitely custom-made for her proportions. To say she's 'curvaceous' would be underselling her figure. The bodice she wears has clearly been reinforced to support her.
That's not, however, to say that she's in any way overweight. Leon does, however, vaguely recall a feeling of his head being squeezed somewhere hot and dark. As the tiefling woman stands there with her hands clasped in front of her nervously, he gets the feeling he might have been a little lucky to survive the encounter without being suffocated.
She looks to be older than him, probably her late twenties. She's definitely attractive, but modestly so... clearly the type who's either unaware or insecure about her own attractiveness. Certainly if she was his age, a tailor might tremble at the thought of how much bigger she would get once she fully matured.
When she sees him in his work apron, sweaty, soot-covered, hair matted, she blushes and looks away.
"Um, good morning." she says, nervously brushing her curly bangs out of her face. "Do... you remember me?"
((In addition to rolling your STR and Smithing, roll a DC 12 check (without bonus/penalties) to your insight to try and recall her name, or tell the truth and say you don't remember much about the night.))

((secret roll)) 19 ((oh you're so lucky XD))
She's able to clarify the pronunciation of the first part of what was written on the scrap of paper. She has half the herb's name, if she's recalling correctly. A quick reference book check reveals that there's only a few herbs it could be.

Leon was working hard at the forge when Duncan called him out. After wiping his forehead with a rag, he emerges from the smithy only to be struck at who he meets.
The tiefling woman completely dwarfed Leon, who though wasn't short per say wasn't exactly a tall and broad shouldered youth. Seeing her noble clothing, he stammers not knowing exactly what to say. Eventually he settles into an awkward bow as he addresses her.
(He'll tell the truth)
"Uh-good morning to you too..." he curses himself as he can't exactly remember her name. His voice breaks off, making this truth apparent to her.

The child is able to sniff the remaining herbs that they could be and recognizes the scent of one of them. A quick look at the reference guide, and Kallista is able to confirm the correct herb. The price is even right, as the child only had as much money with her as the herb cost.
(No investigation success this time.))
The next customer Kallista has is a jolly-looking dwarf limping in on a cane. Apparently his knee has been giving him trouble of late, and needs a herbal painkiller. (The rolls I did to determine the customers basically rated their difficulty; the higher, the easier their problem. You lucked out in that this guy rolled a 95, but the next one is a 7. You're going to need to ask the right questions to handle this one well.)
Kallista is pretty confident in this one. Roll a medicine check, DC 6. If you pass, that's another success. Fail, and I'll roll randomly to see what she ended up giving him and how mad he'll be about it.

Aelar just nods and smiles, not wanting to further embarrass the strangely bashful half-orc. Back at the mission he helps put the bandages away and then takes some time to get himself dressed as best he can, and cleaned up. When both Sister Daar and Barna pronounce themselves satisfied, or at least willing to accept that he looks as good as is possible (and not very to judge by their expressions), he heads off to break into Hawk's Nest...at least figuratively.
Wish me luck, Raia, he thinks at his dragon friend.
As he walks he remembers that Balgrim actually has business and might be able to get him in and that Leon met some noble lady from the Nest and she might be able to help too. After considering for a bit, Aelar decides to check with Leon. If nothing else, that route might give him a useful contact. It never hurt to know people.
As he approaches the smithy where Leon has been working, Aelar notices as very tall tiefling woman in a well-made,though not exceptional, dress and feels his luck is in. That has to be Leon's lady-friend. And another tiefling. Aelar didn't recall if Leon had mentioned that part. He waits with respectful patience for a lull in the conversation and then,
"Excuse me, my Lady, Smith Duncan. I do not believe we have met. My name is Aelar Galanodel and I am a friend of Leon's and was coming to see him, prior to running an errand. I am very pleased to make your acquaintance." He says this with a small bow at the tiefling. His mother would have been proud! It might just have been proper to greet Duncan, first, it being his shop and the tiefling not obviously of high rank. But if he'd guessed wrong about that he might well have insulted her and he didn't think Duncan would care that much.

((oh lordy. Oh well. Here goes... 38 ))
Kallista perscribes a herb that does work, but carries some undesireable side effects. In the end, the dwarf is happy enough with the service that he doesn't make a fuss about it and remains a customer of Grimbuld's.
Finally, Kallista has to wait on a very unhappy looking middle-aged woman.
"Where is that miserable old swindler?" she demands.
"I bought these roots from him last week and they haven't done ANYTHING like what he said." she glowers.
The woman is obviously upset and to make things worse, the roots she's holding aren't familiar at all to Kallista. However, she knows that Grimbuld is no swindler, which means that the woman used them in the wrong way. She was also unhelpfully vague about what she got the roots FOR.
