((How far are you into the campaign? I’ve played only the first encounter and then the group died, so I’m sure you’re past that~ Will the campaign be ending at level 5ish when LMoP does?))
We pretty much just started the second chapter and the party is beginning to explore the actual town of Phandalin. Hopefully, we will be playing through the entire module of LMoP to level 5 and possibly then continue into a modified Curse of Strahd— but that’s a far way off.
Backstory: Warnke is a man between jobs. He had been apart of a mercenary company (which can could be discussed to fit into the background) but was wounded during the last mission. Requiring time to recover, he was allowed out of his contract early as to not slow them down. The group moved on with out him. He could travel to join them and re-enlist or he could try for something new.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Ability scores: 121612121215 EDIT HOVERING OVER THESE... i THINK THEY RE ROLLED TOO MANY 1'S? or am I misreading that? used 4d6 1ro1.. Was that the wrong formula? Well I'll use this in a test sheet for now; but can re-roll ir use point buy if chosen.
I'm going to have to go look at some classes. Though, I would love to try to make an Armour ARtificer. They dn't have massive damage of other classes though; but seem durable and good at making enemies worse at attack others. Though as its level 2 atm, unless one rolls rather well might have slightly rough time of it.. Level 3 they get their "stuff" V.Human I think. Unless Tasha's is available, then I mgiht switch around a bit due to easier of stats. So I might not be what you're wanting. Will either opt for Shield + weapon; later shield + THunder Gauntlet. Or I am tempted to try Two Weapon Fight feat, to punch with two gauntlets; and later snag something like Hunter's mark or Hex via a feat.
I've never played that AP; I've also never played a MAIN frontliner; i've played a side kick frontliner with my Alchemist before; but never the main go get em person. Which.. if you had a tank I'd be applying with that character. (Red the Combat Chemist)
Do have a question though; Can we sell starting equipment for some amount? Not going to use a fair chunk of them.
Roll Ashtear, (female) Armourer Artificer, V.Human (Although if Tasha's Optional Rules are valid; I might opt for different; such as the Custom Race to represent her unkonwn adopted background as well as help some stats). (This character is adapted from a differnet PbP that died out when the GM vanished-they were an Alchemist in that version; but Armour came out and it fit them well).
Roll was adopted at a young age by a elderly Gnome (wizard). They lived on the outskirts of a rural village, the wizard valuing their privacy. Originally adopted to serve as an assistant, but Roll had no ability with magic. However, Roll understood the theories well, just seemingly had no talent in execution. Due to this inability the elderly gnome had given up and made them a cook/maid, though they did not restrict them from their studies. However, Roll kept learning in her free time. Eventually she began building tools that let her use knowledge. If she couldn't touch magic, she'd wield items that can touch magic. Starting with gauntlets that let her manipulate magic and going from there. Impressing the Gnome-adopted parent. Eventually the local village experienced a monster rush, which they both particpated in the defense. However, the new notoratiy alarmed the Gnome, who disappeared over night leaving Roll with a note. Roll packed up and moved their experients to their hidden vault up the mountain before local lord's men arrived inquiring after the Gnome. Not desiring to have her own agency taken from her-to create items for the lord. She packed her own bag and escaped over night, leaving her deed to the land with the local orphanage she grew up in--giving them more space and an area to grow their own crops to help with funding and food with the promise that she'd return in the future. Thus, Roll set off to see the wider world, learn more, and maybe run into her adopted parent and find out why they're wanted (Alive only) so widely.
I don't know enough about the game to link it to the current running events; but can pretty readily figure one out.
So while not fully finished https://ddb.ac/characters/40662355/Z59VO7 Here is the sheet for now. Will be looking at it a bit for now. Has some tankiness (can eek out a bit more actually) damage isn't amazing though. Next level damage does get better. but not like Barbarian output. More of a tank than a damage dealer. Lv 2 is rough for this type. I've also got some art work of what her lv 3 looks would be; and some art of her current style(and casual/stealth mode). Does feel more like a tank meant to support the damage dealer frontliner though. not a lot of damage output. just a lot of disadvantage debuffing. Looking at it more; could be neat with mobile and two weapon fighitng, to smack people over the area.
Born from a human father and an orc mother, Steven lived his life in his father's town. He was a peaceful kid with some friends.
There were a group of kids that bullied him for been a half-orc, but every time they bullied him, he just ignored them or ran away. Until one day the bullies were atacking one of Steven's friends and enraged he fought them back, leaving one of the bullies badly injured and himself very scared of what he could do if he allowed his orc heritage uncontroled, so he left to a monastery to train his self-control.
Now after years of training, Steven leaves the monastery to test his training and help people along the way in his travels.
Sent by the gods to the Material Plane on a holy mission, Thynetos let his vices get the better of him and it led to the failure of his mission. In an unfortunate turn of events, Thynetos let his inner rage consume him and for a time, he was turned away by the gods as an outcast and a reject. In his fury, Thynetos committed many atrocious acts and harmed a great number of people. Now having been stranded on the material plane for almost 20 years, Thynetos is beginning to long for his family back on the upper planes and is saddened by his own follies. In an attempt to help himself repent and earn his way back to the celestial planes, Thynetos has decided to start by coming to terms with and making up for, the things that he did to Gundren during his earlier years.
Hopefully you chose soon and tell everyone else that applied that they didn't make it. I don't want to be left in the dark, it has happened to me before.
