This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Just double checking: I see a single Elf, who seams to be connected to the tornado. The elf walks past Senenir (within 30 ft?) and i am about away 50 ft behind him. The Elf is leading the tornado towards the village.
Where is the tornado relativ to us?
Knowing magic myself i will try to interrupt the elf mages concentration. I scorching ray on the elf. Three streaks of fire fly from my position to the elf.
Attack: 26 Damage: 4 (Elemental Adept, all 1s become a 2.)
Seeing an attack, Senenir will trust that his ally saw something provocative and he will jump out of hiding to strike the elf from behind as the elf walks by:
Move: Right up behind him (I have 30 feet and he shouldn't be more than that away from me)
Action: Shortsword Attack: 23 Damage: 16 (I rolled with advantage and sneak attack so let me know if he somehow saw me (It was a Natural 20/Total 30 on my last stealth roll))
Free Action: Draw my dagger with my other hand
Bonus Action: Dagger Attack: 10 Damage: 1
Also, I assume after the surprise round we will be rolling initiative so here is mine: 20
(He is about 30 feet away. The tornado currently is weaving through the trees, plucking them like blades of grass before flinging them, about 200 yards to the north east of you, approaching the village.)
Senenir/Nadariel:
The elf stumbles, the rays of fire exploding, singing his flesh. Senenir's blades bite into his flesh, the color draining from his face. He regathers his footing, chanting under his breath, he moves closer, casting thunderwave towards Nadariel and Senenir. Both of you roll a constitution save. Damage: 13 Initiative: 11
Let me know if my turn would be part of the surprise round or not... If so then I believe I go before him, otherwise, we would be rolling initiative (see above)

Does 15 succeed?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Quinnil nods, "I don't want to waste any more time than necessary either, but with the weather and brigands on te loose, it'll be fool hearty to leave her here. Peloth smiles upon the noble. Lia could always take her back to the tavern while we go look around her house." Sendra shivers, looking up at the three adults.
Senenir:
15 succeeds, you avoid being pushed by the thunder, and take 6 points of damage.
At the end of his turn, Senenir uses his reaction to move 15 feet away without drawing opportunity attacks as per the Skirmisher ability. He runs 15 feet to try and find a nearby tree to hide behind.
Starting at 3rd level, you are difficult to pin down during a fight. You can move up to half your speed as a reaction when an enemy ends its turn within 5 feet of you. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks.
After that, and assuming Nadariel doesn't kill the elf on his turn. Senenir will do the following on his turn.
Move: Finish moving enough behind a tree to get cover, but staying within 20 feet of the elf (however much movement this takes I have 30 feet on my turn + 15 feet as a reaction)
Bonus Action: Hide: 18
Action: Throw Dagger: Attack: 11 Damage: 14 (Disregard the advantage if the hide was not enough to hide successfully) (Senenir would also have advantage from Faerie Fire in case the hide is not enough)
Free Action: Draw Second Dagger
(OOC: I am posting this all in advance because I am going to sleep a little early today and probably won't post again until the morning)
Lia agrees. "I'll send my owl on ahead, to see if it can see anything of those who took the girl's parents." She adds in, sending her owl on to try to do so. Owl acrobatics: 6
If the owl can get in the air, it will fly to the East, looking for the house. If not, it will stay on Lia's hsoulder as they take the girl back to the inn.
Nadariel, you are out of range of his attack and take no damage. The elf falls to the ground, his eyes glossing over, his flesh charred, a small poof of steam raising up from his body. The mud splatters, coating his robes and flesh. Blood trickles out from his wounds, fanning out into the streams of water.
Lia:
Your owl flaps its wings, unable to take flight as the wind begins to gust in a circular pattern. Quinnil sighs, "Let's go." He begins to lead them back to the inn. Sendra wraps her arms around Lia, burying her head in her shoulder.
As you near the inn, the sound of howling wind becomes deafening. Branches topple from trees, crashing down around you. You turn your heads to see in a flash of lightning, the silhouette of a free spinning tornado as it engulfs a house, stripping it of its roof before tossing it into the woods. Quinnil urges you on, "We need to get to shelter and fast, before we are engulfed." Sendra peeks her head up, looking to the tornado before she begins to shake in fear and cold.

Senenir:
You recognize the owl as being the symbol of one of the neighboring kingdoms, but you can't quite put your thumb on it.
Senenir is going to pause and wait for some kind of signal from Nadariel.

Nadariels next turn:
I get closer/ within 50 ft and I cast Faerie Fire on the elf (Dex save 16), i try to place it so that it doesn‘t effect Senenir.
This ends my concentration on enhance Dex.

Lia moves back to the inn with the girl and then would be ready to find the others and check out the girl's home.
Following along, Marcus heckles Lia “You’re an unusual one eh? Getting stuck in to help us lowborns. Not even cringing at that hug there!”

Nadariel rushs over to the elf and tries to stabilise him:
Medicin check 24.
If that doesn‘t work, i will cast Healing Word on him 6
Is there any change in the tornado? Is it still approaching the village?
I am not sure why the dice rolls changed, but the Medicin was a 24 total and the Healing word was a 5 total.
