When the others clearly ignore his attempt to encourage them to continue on, Sylyra's form returns to its normal shape, a scowl on his face. Outvoted, he squares his shoulders and decides to see how he might help his weary traveling companions. He walks to the middle of the room and pushes back his hood. Using both hands to smooth out his long, blond hair, he clears his throat expectantly. "If a break is necessary, I can at least help heal our wounds and perhaps reduce the amount of time we need to sit around." He points at an empty space about 10 feet away from him. "I will call forth a healing spirit there. Those of us who are wounded can pass through the spirit several times before the magic is used up. It only lasts a short time, so we shouldn't dally."
OOC: If everyone thinks this is a good idea, Sylyra will cast healing spirit. Those of us who need healing (Uragum, Ola and Sylyra, though Sylyra would only go if the others heal up completely and there is still some magic left — he's a conundrum, I know) can walk through the spirit a maximum of five times (total, not per person) and heal 1d6 health each time they walk through.
With a grunt, Uragun stands back up. "That sounds good to me. As they say, No rest for the wicked because the good shall smote them? No... that doesn't sound right... well what ever. Let's go tackle what I assume is the mastermind "
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Don't get angry, Barty! :) I honestly thought I missed some magic item on the way)
"That would be much appreciated." Rest did help with tiredness but did not heal the wounds, of course, and considering potential fight ahead, the wounds was a hindrance that Ola would prefer to get rid of. She stood up and walked through the spot with the spirit on it.
She did it twice: 4 and 3 not expecting all wounds to heal, but to close up enough for the next fight.
(If there was no short rest, obviously, no healing to and from Ola, aside from what she got from the spirit)
As she finishes up looking through the chests, Hex goes to check all the bodies. As she passes by Uragum, she takes a peek at the map and points at the tunnel marked on it. She looks up at Cassyt. "It says the tunnel here leads to a pool. Any ideas about what that might mean specifically?"
((Without the rest - but with the spirit - Ola barely got 10HP (one hit for the tank?) and would not be able to give that heal to Uragum. You be the judge))
OOC: No anger there Blue, promise! Just wanted to explain why I was asking.
Cassyt shakes her head, "A pool? I am not aware of any major water source beneath the city. Though, I suppose maybe there has never been any reason to look, with the Moonsea so nearby."
OOC: So far 2/5 hit dice have been used via healing spirit. Once there is a majority decision on whether to rest or not, I will advance.
Sorry Barty, I moved uragums Hp up 10 from the healing denoted on the last page. He's sitting sitting at 13/30. He would welcome another d6 from the spirit but also, he's not planning on being up front so if our tank needs it, take it.
I (the player) am not opposed to taking a rest. I'll get my one used wild shape slot back. And I have a couple of hit dice I could use as well if you two want to use up the healing spirit.
An hour passes uncomfortably, but peacefully. Through the silence, distant cries can be heard permeating the catacombs. "Those on the graveyard above, mourning their dead," Cassyt explains. No further incursions arrive as you catch your breath, recovering somewhat from the frenzy of battle.
OOC: Characters have gained the benefits of a short rest. If anyone would like to roll hit dice, they can do so in their next post. Uragum can also roll the last 2 charges of healing spirit if he would like.
Ola leads the party into the tunnel, but as she rounds a bend, her lamplight illuminates a wall of stone and rubble. Cassyt's sigh is almost one of relief. "A cave-in? Or were they digging?" she asks.
Ola did not feel the least disappointed (did not look disappointed either). "Or that was their way to protect themselves from whatever could come this way? Or, perhaps, someone very important escaped while others were stalling us? Though I do not remember neither the tremor of cave in, not fresh dirt and rocks on the way here."She raised the lamp to see the wall of rubble better. "The main point is, to get through we would need magic or instruments. Unless you know the way around somehow."

If we still need to rest, even with the spirit, Sylyra will just pretend like they don't rest as long. :)
Seeing nothing else useful in the papers Arnald hands them off and stands. "Everyone healed? Do we need a rest or are we good to continue forward?"

Then we take an hour rest (and Ola spent that 2/6 charches (3HP original + 5HP from rest + 7HP from spirit, while Uragum got his 10HP from her)

If Sylyra is using his HD, then Ola can take one more charge of Healing Spirit ( 4 ) and leave 2 to Uragum.

Sylyra appears eager to be finished with this task and moves to be close to the front of the group.
The moment the group was ready Ola took her place at the head of the procession and stepped inside the tunnel with the lamp illuminating the path.

Sylyra steps forward to take a closer look. Cave-in or digging?
