(OOC: Bingo!) Dyn Gwelw looks for a shield as the sleds approach. It occurs to him as he's scanning the fallen (Investigation: Success!) that Mathana had found healing potions among the dead Provincials. Does Dyn Gwelw expand his search to look for potions too?

Ednyss is usually a bit slow, but being on a battlefield heightens his senses and he realizes that now that he is low on divine magic, healing might be more necessary. He begins to dash around the battlefield looking for as many potions as he can find before continuing to plod onto the village. If there is ever a point where a wolf looks severely weakened by an attack but is barely holding on, Ednyss will call down some divine radiance to smite his enemies down.
(OOC: Does it look like we would be able to outrun these wolves if we ran for the village without slowing them down?)

5 Archer #2 Shoots at Varielky, and misses. The arrow whizzes past her and ricochets off a chunk of ice behind Mittens!
1 Both Sled Drivers yell commands to their wolf teams and whip the reins. The canines leap forward, dashing 80’ toward the party.
At the beginning of Round 2, you are now oriented like so:
As the sleds close in, Mittens dashes out into the path of one of the sleds. He thrusts the rod forward and shouts, "Eat lightning!" followed by a burst of maniacal laughter. After the discharge, he scurries back behind Varielky for cover.
Movement: move to e22 ((OOC: I think that's the right square, it's a bit blurry), and then move back to his starting position.
Action: burn the last charge and cast lightning bolt at the sled in front of him ((OOC: can't quite make out the name of that sled)). DC 15 Dexterity Saving Throw take 24 lightning damage. The bolt ignites stuff not being worn or something.
(OOC - yes that was exactly the wolf I was trying to hit.)
Ka'imi looks over at Mittens and wonders where the wand disappeared to.
He briefly considers a shot at an archer and then fires an arrow at the Driver of Sled 1 - "We need these jackals to leave us alone so we can get to the village and our soldiers! I'm sure there's some kind of lesson to be learned here but for now I'm just getting angry!"

Ednyss runs to another body and quickly pats it down to look for any potions of healing. After seeing Mitten's lightning bolt and seeing only one body left, unsearched, he shouts to the rest of the group, "Come on! Let's go!"

7 Mittens: Leaping from behind Varielky’s leg to stand directly in the path of Sled #1, Mittens sends his power into the wand, which thirsts for his direction and responds instantly. A ball of energy spurts forth in front of him, whose static causes Mittens’ fur and and a few strands of Varielky’s hair (which have fallen out of her braid with today’s exertions) to puff straight out in every direction for a moment. Lightning explodes forward in a bolt of electricity which tears through the wolves with a thunderous clap! In the blink of an eye, it shoots up and down harnesses, and engulfs the sled, lighting it aflame, and stabs through its occupants, limbs flailing uncontrollably as spittle flies from their gaping jaws. The wolves fall, tangled in their harness, burned, dead, and sliding. The sled’s momentum causes it to push through them, flaming and slowly spinning, rising up balanced for a moment on one runner as it catches on a rock, then keeling over, throwing the two Dreyens aside, smoke drifting from their bodies as they slide listlessly on packed snow. Mittens looks at his hand and sees that the wand has crumbled into dust following its fatal discharge! (OOC for Ka'imi - your arrow was well placed. The Driver made his save and would have survived if you hadn't already hit him!)
5 Archer #2 targets Mittens as the cat leaps back to take cover behind Varielky. The arrow slams into Mittens' forearm, spinning him around and back, but the cat lands on his feet and returns to Varielky. The damage is not as bad as feared: Mittens takes 3hp!
1 Driver #1 [dead]
1 Driver #2 Moves ahead at 40’ while bearing right to allow him to attack next round! All wolves and the driver are dodging,.
"A lightning like that could only be thrown by a worthy warrior. You, tiny warrior, should not fear death." Varielky says to Mittens while maintaining her stance. Though her breathing is calm and she is overall motionless, Mittens can see her restlessness is the form of her small hand movements and a small grunt about her undone braid.
Seeing one sled taken down and no more bodies left to search, Ednyss charges forward and calls down a divine flame on the driver of the second sled as soon as he gets within range. Shouting to the Mittens he says, "That was impressive, we can finish the driver on this last sled then make a run for it!"

Action: Cast Sacred Flame on the Driver of Sled 2 (Requires a DC 15 Dexterity Save) On a failure, the driver takes 8 Radiant Damage
