Auger’s hex hits the man, but the red-masked assailant sees the warlock’s energy blasts coming. The vines extending around him harden and whip together into the shape of a buckler on his arm, which deflects the first blast skyward; but Auger’s next bolt comes too quickly and smashes into him. The shield splinters and decays into dust, and the man is catapulted backwards, and, due to being hexed, is unable to grasp the terrace wall, and falls over it into the darkness out of view. Auger realizes however, that his Hex is still active.

With the masked man launched off of the building by Auger and his own initial doubts allayed by his insight, Ednyss decides that the warlock has the humanoid intruder more than handled and so he rushes to Granophyre's room and throws the door open. As soon as he sees the bees on the other side, Ednyss summons his spiritual shield between the bees and the bed to begin battering the insects while he begins sounding the bells of death upon the swarm of bees.
Action: Cast Toll the Dead (Against Bee Swarm) Bees must make a DC 17 Wisdom Saving Throw. On a failure, they take 10 Necrotic Damage if Spiritual Weapon did damage or 12 Necrotic Damage if Spiritual Weapon did not do damage.

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Ednyss must move a little farther to see the bees in Granophyre’s room, into the doorway, and when he does, he casts his spell and plows through an untold number of insects with his spiritual shield, which disintegrates them on touch, while the vibrations from the sounding of his dolorous bell decimate the remains of the swarm (reducing it to 2HP).
Now, two more swarms of bees buzz into the suite — one from Ednyss & Auger’s room, the other from Varielky & Benita’s room, and the walls are crawling with insects.
Simultaneously, the south-facing living-room window is blown to bits by another extension of tough vines which shoot through it and continue on to strike at Auger from behind. It then explodes into splinters which shoot in all directions, sticking in the walls, ceiling and floor. But Auger’s robe flutters and shimmers, deflecting all of these vines and shards away.
“Demsha’s vengeance will destroy you!,” shouts the new foe, another red-scarfed, black-clothed man, as he leaps into the room, while a third man, similarly garbed, also climbs athletically through the south window and from there shoots vines down onto the large rug on the suite’s floor, which sprouts entangling, sharp thorns across its surface, making passage dangerous.
The two bee swarms attack Auger, a huge cloud of terrifying buzzing, which screams in his face and covers his exposed hands, crawling up under the robe and stinging the southerner for 12HP damage. Dozens drop to the floor, their stinger-less, broken bodies twisting slowly in death.
Then, Auger sees the first red-scarfed man reappear on the north terrace, carried by thick vines which are attached to the hotel’s exterior and lift him back up over the terrace wall, back into the suite’s living room through the wrecked doorway in the north wall.
He extends an arm and a thorny vine shoots outward, wrapping around Auger’s neck, and the man then grasps the vine and pulls sharply. It tightens severely, doing 4HP damage, and the warlock is dragged 10’ across the thorn-covered floor, taking 12HP from the tearing protrusions as he trips and bumps over cushions. The man then notices Ednyss in the doorway.
Ednyss is attacked by the weakened bee swarm in Granophyre's bedroom, but manages to dodge away from their assault.
(OOC: Py did not see the other enemies as they were shielded from view by the roof from his perspective).
Auger is pummeled, torn, pulled and bitten. Nearing collapse, Auger still persists despite the battering. As the original assailant returns, Auger reaches into the Sea of Stars and instinctively bathes him in flames upon being grabbed and pulled by the thorns.

Ednyss hears the shouts coming from the main room and quickly flicks his wrist to cause the spectral shield to swing down in an attempt to finish the weakened swarm of insects. Meanwhile, he himself kicks Granophyre's door fully open to reveal the first man and thrusts his arm forward to send a searing blast of radiant energy out of his scar tattoo, up to his arm, and out of his hand in the direction of the injured man. He then turns to face the two new intruders and says, "For what does the goddess of nature seek vengeance? We have done her no wrong."

Round 3 Results (completed)
Ednyss finishes off the bees in Granophyre’s room, then turns to the first man, who is holding his head and writhing in mental agony, and with a bolt of radiant energy, the dwarf overwhelms him — the man flops down amid the thorny vines, which seem to form a cushion for his now-lifeless body.
The second and third men, with a strange light in their eyes, reply to Ednyss in near-unison, like worshippers repeating a prayer intoned by their priest: “Fall, ye seekers of long-lost Halls! The Wandering God shall not not be called!” and the third growls, “Lo! The dwarf!,” and, both leap forward as two lengths of thorned vine unfurl from their hands, reaching out to wrap around Ednyss’ neck, then pull him across the sharp-thorned floor. Ednyss takes 14HP from this attack (2 from the vines, 12 from the thorny floor).
Once there, the two remaining swarms of bees, buzzing furiously, whip and storm around the war cleric, inflicting 21HP damage. Dozens of their dying forms fall off of Ednyss onto the floor, with the result that one of the swarms is weakened.
Ednyss notes that although the covering of thorny vines on the floor seemed almost to reach up and slash at his legs as he passed, the men, in contrast, move across the floor completely unscathed; the plants seem to shift and make way for them.
(RC1 is dead (or at least appears dead), right? That's what I understand from the text above... If else, tell me, because that will change Varielky's actions.)
Varielky rushes to the door, summoning her sword into her hand again. With all the noise from the other rooms, she can't even spare the time to pass by the bed. Then, she sees the scene in front of her. "Why am I fighting bees when there are people in here? Ednyss! You take care of the bees, I'll deal with these people!" Varielky calls then prepare herself for more fighting before dashing forward to a place where she can reach both enemies, where she makes a very wide swing, almost completing half a circle, that should cut through both men. "That you appear before us like this means the gods wish you to die! Do not resist their will!"

Injured, but far from dead Ednyss calls out to the strange masked men, "Whatever your reason for attacking, you should have attacked with honor. Your backstabbing treachery can only be punished by Demesh." With that, he uses practiced motions to bring the spectral shield from the other room into the main room and attempt to smash one group of bees that is attacking him. Then, an idea comes upon him and he clutches his shoulder as his scar tattoo burns deeper into his arm. There is a searing pain as he draws upon his divine connection in ways that he hasn't attempted before. Knowing that he can only protect those that he sees from the divine blast, Ednyss waits until Benita comes into sight before unleashing a small army of divine spirits. Tiny, radiant, dwarven warriors burst forth from Ednyss and surround him as well as both swarms, and the intruders. At Ednyss's command, the tiny spirits avoid harming Varielky and Benita if either of them enters the radius. Shouting in surprise Ednyss calls out to Auger and Tama, "Stay away from the spirits!" But if Auger comes into view before Benita, then Ednyss will only warn Tama and protect Auger from the spirit's wrath as well. As the spirits swarm his enemies, the dwarven warriors burn the intruder's skins and harry their movements. Ednyss falls to a knee clutching his shoulder as this drawing upon the divine extracts an extraordinary amount of energy from him.

Still bleeding from the ferocious attacks Auger hears the cries of pain from his friends and steps back into the fray. As he moves he considers trying to use his newly found powers of illusion and is trying to imagine the right possibility when he sees a swarm of tiny dwarfs surrounding Ednyss and marching about the room. Auger hears Ednyss and attempts to stay clear of the strange spirits. With 2 opponents still standing, Auger tries to sight them both with his blasts but cannot find a clear shot as Varielky moves into the room and attacks.
Auger again thinks of intense illusion and arrives at something simple that might work. He reaches into the Sea of Stars and through it into the mind of one of the red-masked assailants, as he had done to the other just a moment prior. This time rather than give him a glimpse of the Sea of Stars he attempts to give him much more.
Doing his best to set the illusion in the creature's mind, Auger ducks down below the window sill and attempts to stay out of the path of the dwarven spirits.
Auger
Move: To L7
Action: Casts Phantasmal Force targeting RC2. DC 17 INT save to deny the illusion. If you judge the experience adds up to being damaging then he takes: 3
Varielky dashes to engage to the remaining men, leaping onto the coffee table to avoid some of the damage from the thorny vines which cover the floor, which still cause her 20HP damage, deeply gashing her legs. But the courageous fighter is undeterred, slashes at both men with her red-steel blade, and they both transform their choking vines —releasing them from Ednyss’ neck— to take the form of quarter staves with which to parry Varielky, but both those weapons are shattered by the fury of her blows, and she does 17HP damage to the first and 20HP damage to the second one. Her terrifying bravery causes both men to back up, wide-eyed and surprised (OOC: both are now frightened of her following her menacing attacks).
Auger then captures the mind of RC2 with his phantasmal force, and blind to his surroundings, the red and-black-clothed human throws out his arms and legs, as if falling, and stands there helplessly, unable to breath (OOC: no damage until he runs out of breath in 45 seconds or so). The vines on the floor collapse and lose their thorns.
Ednyss’ spectral shield plows through hundreds of bees, which instantly incinerate. He holds his remaining action.
Benita leaps into the living room, and assaults the bees buzzing around Ednyss, doing 7HP damage (and finishing off one of the swarms).
Ednyss’ next spell now takes effect, and in an explosion or radiance, tiny axe-wielding Dwarven spirits flit outward and attack, first, the bees in the room, destroying all of the remaining insects, then the two men, both of whom fall, incinerated by divine energy.
The vines throughout the suite seem to age many years in seconds and decompose to dust, then blow away on the cool evening breeze now moving through the suite from end to end.
But, as everyone catches their breath, a new warning: Py, from outside the building, sends to Auger, ‘Oh oh. That was only the first wave. I see four more men coming up from the street, up the walls!’
(OOC: If Auger was able to see RC2 to target his Phantasmal Force then I assume that Ednyss was able to exclude him from the Spirit Guardians as well as Benita.)
With all of his allies (except for Tama who probably wouldn't be fighting) protected from the warrior spirits surrounding him, Ednyss concentrates and manages to keep the spirits under control. By this point, he has also risen back to his feet and is quickly moving towards the balcony where Auger mentioned more men coming up. The spirits swarm around the dwarf as he moves and they move with him. When he reaches the balcony, he leans over to take a look at where the supposed intruders are coming from.
Move: 25 Feet out onto the balcony (if possible)
(OOC: Ednyss's actions will depend on exactly what he sees when he gets to the edge of the balcony. I am also assuming that a path to the balcony was cleared out by the crashing back and forth of RC1. If there isn't a way for Ednyss to get out, he will wait inside the building and patiently wait for the intruders to show themselves.)
(OOC: I know that RAW you are supposed to roll a separate damage roll for each creature because the damage happens in 4 instances, but I figured that would be too much hassle, so I just rolled it once... @1973; Let me know if you would like me to roll damage separately for each entity going forward.)

A portal opens beneath the red-masked foe. A portal into the Sea of Stars. He falls through it and experiences the sensation of falling, ever falling, as he is sucked through and into the endless abyss and darkness. This place is horrible. He sees only points of light far away. The portal he fell through fades away above him. He hears nothing. It is so cold. And he cannot breath.

We can assume Auger immediately shares the news.

DM for Candlekeep Mysteries // Dev Hornd in Curious Critters // Eclipse Faraway in Gallows Dancer

Auger moves to the edge of the terrace (L5) and looks down for the red-masked assailants.
(OOC: From the description I assumed the 4 were climbing up the north wall. Auger wants to complete his turn based on what he sees.)
