Doing a quick calculation in his head, he points his finger and sends a bead of red hot flames far enough above Myrna to only affect the ranger, while leaving himself and his ally unharmed by the flames. He then takes his whip and thrusts it into the concious or unconcious body of Myrna.

Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.

The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection. On its surface are erratic, jagged walls of wind-blown ice spikes, and in its center is an island in a lake of smooth ice.

Baral doesn't seem to have his typical energy as he walks into the arena. As Timmy flies around his head, his eyes lock on a certain member of the audience that is neither cheering nor smiling. It's the recently arrived Larab, the eladrin samurai, and he's staring daggers at Baral while slinging a sleek bow on his back.
Baral gives a weak wave. "Hey little bro! It's been a while. I'm glad you've come to watch."
Larab doesn't respond, only scowls and continues to stare.

"Ladies, Gentlemen, and All things in-between or beyond! Welcome to the Coliseum!" The crowd roar and cheers for a moment. "Today is the day we see if the reigning champion deserves to hold her spot, or if new potentials might rise to the top! Isn't that exciting? Hah! But before that, allow me to introduce today's contenders, and cream of the crop!"
"First up! While he may be no bard, but there's one song his blade sings guaranteed to draw a crowd! Give it up for Baral the Bombastic!" A lithe eladrin clad in simple but sturdy blue clothes takes his place at the gates, bearing a rapier in one hand, and a hawk fluttering about overhead. After taking a moment to finish up his prep, he stands ready for the fight!
"Next, we have everyone's favorite devilish man of many talents and titles, and dark champion in the making, Eldin the Enigma!" The green skinned tiefling in half-plate and magical bling finalizes his own preparations, before likely disappearing from sight.
"Now can I get some roars! Some Hisses! Or by the nine, even some chirps for our wolf in sheep's clothing, Grianne Wildpaw!" An Elven Woman in Hide armor wearing enchanted oak-wood strapped around her wrists and calves like bracers and greaves, marches out bare footed wielding a mystical staff.
"And finally to help round out this cast of colorful competitors, say hello... the Rogue, Otto!" A masked man enters greased up and somehow exuding divine confidence in his mirthal plate. After somehow managing to down another potion, he tries to mask his presence in preparation for the the fight to come.

Eldin seems quite reluctant in this fight. He never was too excited about the fights but he seemed to always have a laid back attitude when it came to fighting. It seemed like he was mainly there to try his best to win but was otherwise not very concerned with whether he actually succeeded or not. This time however, he was actually a bit more reluctant and seemed to not be looking forward to the fight at all.
Really he had been sulking in the ruins between matches ever since the meteor hit. He hadn't seen Grianne in a while. He was hoping he'd be fighting along side his very close friend but sadly, it looks like lady luck had other plans. He was very much disheartened by the fact that he had to fight the wood elf in the arena.
He simply nodded to Baral and says half-heartedly, "Y-yeah... I guess..."
Baralholds his ground for the moment, though not without bolstering his defenses and adding to his mobility.
Eldin meanwhile makes his presence both known and after scaling the glacier(adjusted position 12N), and loosing a difficult shot at Grianne. Still finding his mark in part things to releasing the darkness almost literally within, he then falls back.

A lithe eladrin clad in simple but sturdy blue clothes takes his place at the gates, bearing a rapier in one hand, and a hawk fluttering about overhead. After taking a moment to finish up his prep, he stands ready for the fight!
"Next, we have everyone's favorite devilish man of many talents and titles, and dark champion in the making, Eldin the Enigma!" The green skinned tiefling in half-plate and magical bling finalizes his own preparations, before likely disappearing from sight.
"Now can I get some roars! Some Hisses! Or by the nine, even some chirps for our wolf in sheep's clothing, Grianne Wildpaw!" An Elven Woman in Hide armor wearing enchanted oak-wood strapped around her wrists and calves like bracers and greaves, marches out bare footed wielding a mystical staff.
"And finally to help round out this cast of colorful competitors, say hello... the Rogue, Otto!" A masked man enters greased up and somehow exuding divine confidence in his mirthal plate. After somehow managing to down another potion, he tries to mask his presence in preparation for the the fight to come.

Prep: Asked DM a question and am waiting for an answer before finalizing.
Eldin seems quite reluctant in this fight. He never was too excited about the fights but he seemed to always have a laid back attitude when it came to fighting. It seemed like he was mainly there to try his best to win but was otherwise not very concerned with whether he actually succeeded or not. This time however, he was actually a bit more reluctant and seemed to not be looking forward to the fight at all.
Really he had been sulking in the ruins between matches ever since the meteor hit. He hadn't seen Grianne in a while. He was hoping he'd be fighting along side his very close friend but sadly, it looks like lady luck had other plans. He was very much disheartened by the fact that he had to fight the wood elf in the arena.
He simply nodded to Baral and says half-heartedly, "Y-yeah... I guess..."

Baral holds his ground for the moment, though not without bolstering his defenses and adding to his mobility.
Eldin meanwhile makes his presence both known and after scaling the glacier(adjusted position 12N), and loosing a difficult shot at Grianne. Still finding his mark in part things to releasing the darkness almost literally within, he then falls back.
