Talion smiles in satisfaction, sure that he made a killing blow, but the creature remains standing, and the stench brings back memories of a childhood in the sewers, searching for dropped coins. It was a meager living, but it kept him alive. That memory is rapidly replaced by another, darker one: the night when he was thrown, broken and beaten, into the sewer and left to die. The smell from the creature, bad as it was, was nothing compared to those intrusive memories, brought back by the foul odours.
With an anguished cry he focusses all of the remembered pain on his target. Never again!
Attack: 9 Damage: 12 (Used +2 to attack from flank, the 9 damage includes 6 piercing, 1 necrotic and 2 bludgeon)
Realizing the creature may still not die he shouts to Ervan, "The club...throw me the club!"
(( If it arrives nearby, and he can pick it up, then bonus attack: ))

Sho Zuan frowns as he hears Erven’s call out for mercy - to the house? The hand he pressed on the abdominal wound pushed hard inward, warm blood seeping out of his tunic, damp fingers sinking deep into the fresh gash, pain tingling the nerves - his blood thrilled with the proximity of death, as the zombie in front him tumbles down with a giant burned hole on its rotten flesh.
He and Talion managed to share a shocked look as the zombie, somehow still holding himself with whatever flesh and bones he has left, and remained attacking. The zombie blocks his vision again between them as he catches sight of the fading smile on Talion’s face - the first time he has seen the idling about, charismatic urchin with a look so determined. With that, Sho raises his arm again and flings out a bolus of radiant flame.
(If hits, move Sho northwest next to the fireplace… if Talion had killed Z3, then direct the attack at Z1 and move Sho away. If Z3 is still alive... he will stay where he is.)

1. Erven 2. Z3, Sho, Z2,Bert , Talion 3. Onyx, Z1
@Erven I am guessing you throw the club towards Talion - both roll Dexterity checks. *Throwing your hand forward, your whip snaps into the female elf zombie's chest, ripping open a big hole and splashing blood everywhere - a hit! *Using your off-hand, you step forward and plunge the dagger deep into the creature's neck, opening up another significant gash, from which a cloud of flies spews forth - a hit! The zombie moans and looks at you, her one good eye looking familiar to you. She holds out her hands and presents you with a blood-drenched rock... Only you can hear the low laughter that vibrates around you..."No."
@Bert I added +2 to your attack roll because you and Erven are now flanking Z1. *you lash out with your dagger, and you slip a little doing so! While not where you intended, you slash it across the neck and it turns from Erven to growl at you. In doing so, it's head flips backwards and hangs against its back, continuing to look at Erven, upside-down. The zombie takes a good chunk of damage and is looking real rough. - a hit!
@Talion *you plunge your dagger into the zombie's neck and again, it stumbles as if ready to finally fall....Z3 Con save - 23 (fail)... its body shakes and convulses and you hear a loud whirring sound. The body bulges impossible before it explodes with a "gurgle," ripping and tearing flesh creating a sickly cacophony in the room. A giant cloud of locusts spew forth before flying up the fireplace chimney...when you look down, Talion, you recognize your component pouch - though it is covered in bile, guts, and feces...Sho, you see your trusty hand crossbow with bolts - again, covered in disgustingness, much like Talion's items... Z3 is no more.
@Sho Dex save Z1 - 5 (was a 0) *the zombie tries to rise again but is unable to get leverage. Instead it smiles at Erven and laughs. It reaches up to its neck and pulls off its own head and throws it at you, Erven, and you flinch in horror! It then puts both hands in its neck hole and, as all three of you watch in disbelief, pulls itself apart in a gout of blood and guts, showering you in the putrefying gore. All that remains is a waterskin with the Elven word "Life" stitched on it (visible only to Onyx and Bert) - Erven, you only see the familiar blood-stained rock... You can assume Z1 is no longer a threat.
Z2 - Will try to club Onyx with its arms: Attack:4Damage:6
@Onyx You see Z1 go down and turn and chop down at the last remaining zombie, Z2 - a hit, and it takes off one of the zombie's arms!
Top of the round - Erven is up! (sorry about the dice rolls, I won't edit this post further so if Z2 scores a 12 or higher, it hits Onyx, and you can adjust HP accordingly.

Erven is disgusted by the pile of putrescence at his feet. HIs anger roils and all he sees now is red. He moves in a C shape to the south to engage the last zombie, when he moves over the carpet after hearing from Talion he pulls out the club and drops it on the carpet, not trusting a throw to him. He then moves behind the last zombie to flank and attacks.

@Erven *Your whip and dagger find purchase in the dusty corpse, and it heaves as if to retch...Con save - 20 ....
Z2 falls to its knees before dissolving in front of you all, its skin turning to ash and dust, mixing in with your face and hair and getting everywhere in this main hall area.
Combat has ended for now.
As Erven fells the last zombie, the lights and the fireplace roar back to life and there is nothing on the floor - no blood, no guts, no evidence of strangeness at all...
"More illusions?" Onyx asks. There was a chill spreading down his neck. Those things were real and they were there. And now they weren't. He had never seen anything like it. He moves over and reaches for the water skin. He couldn't read it, but he recognized the script.
"Erven, is this elvish?"
He extends the strange item to the ranger.

With the last squishing sound, the last zombie fell down on the ground. There was a moment of deathly silence in the wide hall, as if the air had solidified, followed by the crackling of firewood, the rekindling of the fire and candles, and the disappearance of the rotting corpses on the floor, as if nothing had happened, even the stench of foul, decaying odor in the air was gone.
Sho Zuan looks down, his hand still stained with blood from the wound covering his abdomen, the warm flow of blood and the lacerating pain reminding him of none other than - “It was very real.” He states. He carefully squats down and picks up his hand crossbow on the ground, examining it over, - no longer covered in guts and bile, he still loads a bolt in, with a click sound he makes sure the barrel didn’t get clogged by zombies fleshy pieces, before putting it away.
Erven gathers himself, regains his composure again. He takes the waterskin from Onyx and reads the elvish script. Erven looks around the room to see if there are any other of their items have appeared. He also looks at the different doors leading from the room.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Seems you were right, old man" he nods his head to Onyx. "I've not often had the advantage the numbers" he says, his tone grim. Talion is still grappling with his memories, but absent-mindedly gathers up his component pouch and the club. He then looks around the room, "Not quite illusions, I fear" he says, glancing at Sho.
It is not long before his smile returns, and he winks at Erven, "But a very tidy house" he says. Then, remembering Erven's apology, he waves his arms around the tidy room, "My compliments to our host." he says to the room in general, with slight bow. "An impressive demonstration indeed!"
With that, he starts to examine the various items that have been retrieved. "We should sort these out: are these just our own things, or has our gracious host added anything?"
"I had some beeswax..." he says, examining the wax, "...this could be it, but I'm not sure -- it feels much harder. And these weapons, and the waterskin? Who recognises them?" He also glances at the daggers to see if he recognizes the style and various pits and dents of his own.
Sho Zuan frowns lightly, he steps close and puts a hand on the waterskin, not wanting Erven to taste it just yet - "I have no reason to trust it either." He says, as his eyes focus on the elven waterskin and casts detect magic.
Talion looks at the waterskin, then around at his companions, "So...noone recognises this then? It is a gift from our host? And the other things from the creatures, and from the manlte?"
As they examine the items, Talion shakes his head in confusion, "I need to get this straight...whoever stole our things is returning them to us in reward for killing things in the house?" he looks to his companions for comment, but quickly adds, "They could have just asked! Why take our things in the first place???"
Onyx doesn't recognize anything as being his. Watching Erven and Talion check the door, he simply takes a moment to steady himself, running this thumb over the modest holy symbol around his neck. The only way out was through.
