Erven steps in the room and looks at the fireplace. He takes the dagger "If no one minds..." and looks at the mantle, fireplace and surroundings. He looks around the room for any other belongings, or signs of recent activity.

The others look but they don't see anything. You however, hear it and see the rock, which begins bleeding and a pool of blood forms at the base. You look closer and you can see bits of hair and flesh stuck to the contours. You shake your head.....and it's gone. The moaning turns to laughing....
Instead of becoming fearful, Erven becomes angry. "Visions, more visions! I'd like to take that rock to the head of whoever owns this house. I'm tired of it!" He looks to see if the others are having them as well. "I have put that terrible day to rest but this house keeps making me relive it. Blast this place and the Dursts to hell!" He coils the whip a few times, then relaxes.

@Bert - you have to clench your eyes shut as your detect magic spell is going a bit haywire - and it has been doing so since you stepped in the house - it's extremely hard to see for all the magic that surrounds you. [At this point, you can continue with the spell and likely have disadvantage or drop the spell and go back to normal sight].
@Erven, as you yell out everything becomes eerily still. The flames freeze and the oil in the lanterns stop sputtering. Then they roar with a fierce green light and shoot up, burning whatever they touch. They then go completely dark and you are all now in darkness. Seems like the house has been angered. A low laugh emanates throughout the room: "Hell? Hell, then." The laugh continues and you all hear more moaning in the darkness, this time very real right in front of you. You can also smell decay and rot. Those of you who can see in the dark, look around and notice 3 rotted corpses in varying stages of decay emerging from the shadows.
[i know the map looks lit up but those of you with darkvision, you experience this as dim light. Those with no darkvision, it is darkness. There is a penalty to perception and your attacks are at disadvantage. you do have torches and tinderbox, though ;) ]
Erven uncoils his whip and and from his current location 10 feet away strikes at Zombie #3 at the fireplace. After striking, he'll move 1 square north, inviting the flank attack from Sho when the zombie moves. He will ready the dagger in his left hand for round #2, for a two handed attack.
@Erven *You haul back and fling the whip forward at the putrid corpse - a hit! It connects in the torso, loosing a flood of intestines, innards, and gore to the floor, staining the pristine wood. Maggots wriggle and crawl - white little snowflakes, to your eyes - in the soup of entrails on the floor.
Z3 - the zombie takes the hit and ambles over, stepping on its own guts and dragging them along. It will move 10 feet east and stop in melee range of Sho. It will make an attack: Attack:11Damage:3 Z2- the abdomen of this zombie has been ripped open long ago and an empty cavity remains. It looks like it's been dead for a long time and no blood remains in its husk of a body, now wrinkled and dry. It moves 5 feet to the north, and will attack the closest thing, which is Onyx: Attack: 22Damage: 3

Bertolt will move to the zombie that just attempted to attack Onyx, drawing the dagger he had gotten for himself. He will hold it steady before aiming to jab the weapon into the side of the undead creature.
Following the group and stepping into the wide foyer, the dimly lit and run-down solemn interior was suddenly illuminated up by a marble-built fireplace that awaited them as if it was alive.
Sho Zuan stared in silence at the dancing tongues of fire, the orange flames licking the edges of the fireplace and reflecting in his eyes, irradiating irregular figures as if the flames were about to leap out the next second. He was about to look at the equipment Talion had found when Erven's angry shout interrupted his thoughts. The fire abruptly went out, and for a moment the faces illuminated by the flames fell into darkness. Sho Zuan instinctively lit the torch in his hand, and the house echoed with wild laughter out of the abyss, bloodthirsty, tyrannical, as if waiting impatiently for their doom.
Out of the shadows emerged three rotting corpses, staggering toward them, the stench of decay emanating from their rotting flesh, a few pieces of flesh falling to the ground with a moist thud, the flies and maggots that feed on them sprouting from their wounds, crawling on the white bones that are barely holding their bodies together.
She Zuan turns, and one of the zombies was already in front of him, gashing a huge wound in his abdomen. The anger, the pain, the feeling of powerlessness without his armour and shield, he growled lowly, “You foul!” Pressing tight against his bleeding wound, he tosses out a flare of radiant fire at the zombie engaging with him, breathing heavily, “your body should be of service of our Undying King, not to subvert him!”

Talion curses at Onyx, "Damit, old man, have it your way!", then curses at Z3, but this time his curse, entirely in some other language, is charged with a much greater sense of malice and doom.
With that, he moves behind the appalling shambling creature that just attacked Sho, and attacks it with his dagger.
Move: 3 diagonal, southwest (21'), 1 south, total 26', placing him opposite Sho, and behind Z3.
@Bert You move around Onyx and lunge into your attack. Your dagger hits home with a satisfying squish and goes a bit further than you would think. You pull out and notice no blood spilling forward. Your hand is covered in flies and bugs, and a cockroach or two wiggles up your arm. It's hit!
@Sho As you call down radiant fire on to Z3, it moans loudly and attempts to lean out of the path: Dex save - 2 *The flame catches the zombie full-on and it staggers under the pressure. You watch as your flame burns a hole through the corpse and one of its arms falls to the floor - the zombie fails its save!
@Talion Your curses ring loudly throughout the hall and the second one catches Z3's attention, in fact, all the zombies' attention. It cocks its head and wails loudly. You move into position, your boots slipping and squishing as you walk over Z3's intestines. You find enough purchase to drive the dagger deep into the body, your dagger and hand punching through soft flesh. Your hand comes away drenched in viscera, smelly old blood, and feces and your joy at having defeated a foe in juxtaposed by your revulsion of what stains your fist! A hit! The zombie falls to the floor.... *Zombie - Undead Fortitude - CON save - 20 (in case of a mishap, the con save was a 17+3) *Talion, you breath a sigh of relief as the zombie falls to the floor. You hear a loud laughing (only you hear this) and a rumbling word: "Hell." You watch in horror as the zombie moves awkwardly and pushes itself up on its feet in front of you. It begins to growl but in the act, its lower jaw falls off. It is again a threat!
@Onyx You stab at the zombie but your foot catches on the rug, affecting your aim. A miss!
Z1 - the zombie moves, slowly and inexorably, into the target in front of it - Bertolt. This zombie seems relatively new to the undead scene and you can tell it was a female elf. She is older and has suffered quite the catastrophic blow to the head, which is half caved in on her right side. She attacks the bard: Attack:20Damage:2 *the zombies slam cuffs Bert from behind - a hit!
Back to Erven - Sho, Talion, Bert - you're on deck!

Dagger: Attack: 20 Damage: 5
Onyx grimaces. It would be nice to have some proper armor, but he could not show weakness or fear. Not against these creatures.
"No, stand and fight. In a narrow corridor we can't leverage our numbers!"
He nods in approval as Bertolt joins in his skirmish. With a little breathing room, he lunges forward with the short sword he had been given.
Attack: 20 Damage: 10
