Mist you don't notice anything, and the cyclopes keeps working, for about 30 minutes before telling Ferb to go and get more rocks, Freb does not move at first.
Gintarou feels the magical potion is wearing off. He whispers to the others. " Hey guys. Do you mind if I have your potion of … heroism? ( Why did they give it such a silly name? He wanders. There should be simpler and more efficient names like the Potion of Water Breathing) If the negotiation doesn't work, it will be my turn to talk with the giant, in close range. "
"Hrm," Mist says with a puzzled expression. "Doesn't seem our single-headed, single-eyed ettin notices a difference in the stone. I think he'll eventually wise up and come to see what's goin' on w' his supply if we just let it run its course. At that point we can ambush him. I've got a feeling that'll work better than starting a dialog and lettin' 'im know we're here. Anyone got a better idea?" The halfling looks around the group and shrugs. "I can start talkin' but I don't rightly know what our goal would be other than tryin' to get him to hand over that rock and I don't see that happenin' as long as lovey's still dead."
" Thanks,Druquilla. I owe you one." Gintarou receives the portion and slips it in his belt.
@Mist
" If he can't separate living rocks from dead rocks that means this guy is beyond reasoning. You can't negotiate with a madman. " The warrior stands up with the black oar in his hand. " I'll show myself to him. Mist, can you talk to him like the Oars man? Tell the Cyclops that we killed all cockatrices and his plan has already failed. The only way he can reunite with his dead wife is to release all hostages and ask help from the Oarsman. If he refuses and attacks me…then I will run back and lure him to the trap. "
"Not entirely sure we need him for that since we've got the recipe for the special sauce, Bigm'n. And I don't think showin' ourselves prematurely is the best route. But I'm certain I can get the brute to make his way back here. We should all try to get outta sight 'fore he gets here," Mist says while reaching up for Freb to pick him up like a child.
Freb offers their other arm to Druquilla and, once she's either climbed up again or spurned the loveable flying marshmallow's offer, let's out another deluge of rain as they rocket back up about 100 feet in the air.
Mist's brow furrows in thought as he mutters "Here goes nothin'..." then falls silent.
Mist uses Kraven's Psychic Whispers to reach out to Kolganra. Having no idea how to pass himself off as the Oarsman, he does his best to sound like the demigod that's invaded his mind a few times now. But he's really just wingin' it.
"Kolganra!" He pauses for effect. "I'm talking to you, Kolganra! No, you're not overworked and the status of your sanity remains to be seen but we are having a conversation. This is the Oarsman, Kolganra, and you've been a verrrrry naughty boy." An idea dawns on him and Mist adjusts his tactics. "Let's cut to the chase: You've built an aberration and even if it worked I would not allow it. I am Skajkaia, Oarsman of Scur, and I know more of lost love than you could ever fathom. Life comes from the Sea and I will not abide this twisting of Scur's gift. I've thrown the rest of your materials back to the depths of the waters below and your mystical stone is now barely more than an artificer's trinket. There is nothing more for you on my Spire now leave this place at once!"
Mist looks to where Kraven is flying and shrugs right before his eyes go wide and he grins mischievously.
"Oh, and I want you to think about what you've done. And from now on, stop playing with yourself!"
(Sorry for the stupidity...couldn't help referencing one of my favorite movies [Real Genius].)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
" Well… then I'll count on you. " Gintarou decides to trust the silver tongue of Mist. He knows that the halfling's words are sharper than his own blade. With the weapon in one hand and the portion in the other, the warrior tries to find somewhere he can hide his massive figure.
(Gintarou is going to hide and pull the rope trap when the giant appears.)
Druquilla gives a small sigh before climbing onto the golem with Mist then turns to Ginatrou as they begin to rise, "Be careful we do not know how strong this thing is."
Once in the air Druquilla turns to Mist, "Lets not keep to far from everyone encase someone need healing. I don't have much left in me but even a little bit could make a difference."
(So to make sure I have this straight, we're gonna jump golem #1 and if that doesn't bring the cyclops we're going to lure him to us, try to trip him, drop a column on him, then hope to finish him off while still dealing with golem #2, right?)
Sorry for the long delay in posting, FRL. So my minds eye is having a hard time seeing the traps right now, can someone help me out with it.
As I understand it, we're doing the classic "lay down a rope so he doesn't see it and pull it tight at the last second to try to trip him" and then the Samsonian pulling down of a pillar to trap/hurt/kill him. I've been imagining us back towards his supply piles, where he'd go to check on the raw materials, hidden among the pillars and rubble along whatever kind of path leads from the window we came out of to the space where he was working. Does that help at all?
Yeah he just keeps working away with the stone.

( Is the Portion of Heroism that Gin drunk still working? I am afraid the portion could wear off after waiting half an hour. )
(when did you drink it again?)

( Gin had only drunk the portion of heroism nce when he fought with Cockatrices. So I guess the effect of the portion already ended. )
I would say that it ended about the same time that the rocks were brought to the cyclops.

"Take mine," Druquilla answers passing her potion to Gintarou. "Its more useful for you than I anyway."
Druquiilla then turns to Mist, "How is everything going with the golem? Learn anything?"
(Mist do you tell the golem to get more rocks?)

"Works, will try and gain some height and shoot from there." Kraven says as he looks around for some higher ground to hide in.
