Mist runs forward to take in the scene, grabs the door, and closes it.
Spinning around with one hand still holding the door latch and eyes wide staring straight at Druquilla he says, "Nope. No golden compass there, lads. On to the next hall!"
He bounces past his companions to gather with the others by the two hallways, visibly anticipating going somewhere that wasn't that room.

Kraven looks at Mist quizzically and then goes back to the door opening it once more and then will toss one of his vials past the dead body. Depending on if anything happens he will then tie a loop into his rope and attempt to throw the rope and grab onto the sword and pull it back to him.
Gintarou didn't respond to Mist's suggestion. He's deeply in his own thoughts. "…The body holds a sword. That means they might be a warrior. Two rooms are connected. Does it mean the big one in the pool did this? And the scorch… is it magic or something? Damn, I'm not good at magic." The warrior scratches his head and looks at other members of the party. "Can you see if there is any magic in that room?"

"And it's not a trap. Or at least not the kind of trap that reacts to small objects. …Never mind,Kraven-dono. Let me try this time." Gintarou throws his own rope in an attempt to catch the sword.
"If we're finally finished fishing here, do you want to try it in some actual water or should we head downstairs where our quarry might actually be waiting?" Mist asks with hands on hips and one foot tapping, impatient, on edge, or possibly both.
Kraven looks at his rope and then at Gintarou and ruffles his feathers as he starts shoving his rope back into his backpack clearly frustrated. Then he squawks out, "We should look at pool first before moving on, I do not like the idea of possibly leaving unknown danger at our back."
Zandeyr grins at Gintarou. "Lad, methinks he means that the sword, or body, or something else in yon chamber explodes. But, not to worry, we're now holding what might be a magical bomb."

The guardian is set into the wall that is still built on the side with the door, before the hall to the pool of water.

(Where it looks like the wall is grey stone blocks rather than the usual yellow/brown next to the glowing magic circle?)

I have added it to my end of the map. I am not going to reload the pics, but next time I post the map it will be on there.

Mist sighs and rolls his eyes.
"I suppose it was inevitable... The one who can barely stay alive wants to poke around in the exploding room of death!"

Nothing happens when the vial is thrown in, the attempt to catch the sword fails.

At the pool, Mist turns to Aubric.
"Anything mystical to look out for here, oh grand wizard? Or is it mundane enough to stick my face in and look around?"
