One of the crew – Varlan they call him – rushes onto the deck as the crew’s shouts of “Grapples!” ring through the air. He has often been seen looking after the compass or attending to and supervising repairs, but now his shield is on his arm and his fists are sheathed in electricity.
His armour, which he never seems to take off, is a mixture of metal plates and chain, backed by leather. It looks heavy but also seems tight-fitting, like a second skin, and almost covers his entire body. He moves effortlessly in it despite its weight. Beyond the armour it is hard to see much of the man himself.
He stands at the doorway leading to the lower decks, his grey-green eyes assessing the situation. A small curl of black hair escapes from under his helmet, matching the dark – almost black – armour.
As the passengers attack the raiders, he leaps into action attacking any remaining sailors on the deck or, if none remain standing, hacking at the ropes themselves with the blade of his dagger. Electricity seems to briefly ripple over his armour.
"Cut the ropes!" he shouts to the crew.
Attack 1: 22 Damage: 13
Attack 2: 10 Damage: 14
BA: Defensive Field (5 temp HP)
If no enemies left standing on boat, he hacks at the ropes with his dagger.
If no sailors are left, and he has cut all the ropes he can, Varlan will crouch down below the edge of the deck, near one of the uncut roipes, trying to take cover. Otherwise, he stands in front of the sailor blocking their path.

Varlan stands up from his crouch and moves in front of the nearest enemy sailor. As he does so a burst of energy seems to radiate toward the sailor, trying to push him over the edge of the boat and into the ocean below.
As the wave of energy dissipates, Varlan moves to attack the nearest sailor.
"Cut the ropes agaim, or we'll be overrum!" he shouts.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Mist has been spending the entirety of the past week or two in solitude and out of sight, below decks on the ship. Really an extraordinary feat for the loquacious little man.
At the sound of violence breaking out above, he waterjets out of the hold in Freb's arms (with a torrent of rain flowing out beneath them) and they quickly makes their way toward the bow of the enemy ship and the far elf keeping watch (using Freb's rain lift and movement from the previous round and dashing in the current round). Freb deposits the halfling, now -- astoundingly -- standing nearly a foot taller than he was back on the island (now an imposing ~4'5"), on the deck of the enemy ship standing directly in front of the zealot.
"Oi! We travel wit' the blessin' o' the dragon Aurora, emissary o' the Lady Lux...an' you're dangerously close t' pissin' me off! Call off yer dogs now an' I'll be more likely to omit yer transgression when next I hold an audience with the great wyrm 'erself. We'll call yer losses thus far 'recompense' fer the unprovoked attack and let y' off easy."
His eyes narrow as he crosses his arms and cocks a hip to the side in a display of unbridled audacity while he waits for a response.
Sorry for messing up on seeing who Vlar's scorching rays were at. I will leave it that all 3 saliors are dead as thats what I thought, and then move the 6 attacks on the the Admerial, 5 of the 6 hit, dealing all 74 points of dammage.
The Admerial smiles as he takes each hit being rocked back little by little the giant of a man starts to show why he is known.
The Admerial still smiling from the damage he has taken looks to Mist, points his Great Axe at him and yells "KILL IT!" the volume is more to over come the storm, not in anger of any kind.
Kraven your Sneak Attack also hits.
I will post the NPC and Monster's turns tomorrow night, Wednesday morning, or when I see the 2nd turn from Vlur and Jecob.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jacob steps onto the deck (finally). As an experienced sailor who only recently joined the ship, he was working hard, trying to make a good impression. Concentrating on his duties, he gradually became aware of the shouts of alarm from above deck.
Underneath his heavy splint armor is the blue-green skin of a water genasi, but he does not have the typical fey or djinn features. In dim lighting where his skin tone is less obvious, he could pass for human. He is heavily muscled, with black pupils like the ocean depths. He pulls his heater shield off his back, and starts twirling his devotee's censer to be used as a flail. (Mist recognizes some of the religious symbols on the censer.)
"Return to your own ship, invaders! I protect the travelers on this vessel." The words are unlikely to deter the attackers, but maybe they will heed the advice to leave, when more of their crew have fallen.
Jecob moves to the nearest Blackrift sailor and attacks twice with the magic flail. (For each attack, first d8 of damage is bludgeoning, second d8 is radiant.) If there is a friendly crew member fighting nearby, assist. The melee blows will be non-lethal, but he is attacking with full power.
Attack1: 10 Damage: 15
Attack2: 25 Damage: 15

The far elf turns his attention to the deck of our ship, and sends out a radiant bolt of lightning at Lalia. She needs to make a DC 18 dex save or take 25 radiant damage. Then the Far Elf with out effort leaps off the Axe and onto our ship.
