Once the shard enters the compass the center stone lights up slightly, and then needle spins at intence speeds, Gintarou you feel a slight wind blow at you from the compass, then it stops spinning, pointing in a south west direction which is into the ocean.
Zan smiles. "Reckon Cendrail'll be pleased. Figuring it works how he claimed. Looks like the star fragments landed in a wet spot. Don't know how he plans to reach 'em if they're resting at the bottom of the ocean. But wizards do funny things. Now, are we ready to get outta here?"
The wind from the compass swings the warrior's long black hair. Gintarou bares his teeth and laughs. " I have some idea too, Magnus-dono. The needle of the compass, it may not be pointing at the fallen star. We need to go back to the oldman to figure it out. But before that…" The giant drops on the ground and groans. "…I'm starving. We must eat something and rest. I missed my dinner and midnight snack. I don't wanna miss breakfast and morning snacks too!"
"Aye, this has been an exhausting day of it. But I'd rather be tired a bit longer and leave this accursed place far behind us than try to sleep here and leave ourselves vulnerable to whatever other terrible surprises it has in store for us. What say we just take a break for food and whatever patching up of injuries we can manage before pressing on?"
"Both choices sound awful", Zan concludes. "But I'd rather rest under some real stars than those painted ones, and I sure as shoes don't wanna sleep with them skeletons. Whether we rest for a while or for a night, we should take our chances outside."

"I am not as tired a some of you look, so lets take a quick rest now and then press on down to the beach and potentially a more secure location to rest for the night." Kraven says as he hunkers down near the entrance.
Rest HD: 7
After the rest he will move back down the tunnel, "Going to go scout the route and the way down to the beach as it looks a bit treacherous." When Kraven gets to the edge he will jump off and fly down the path checking to see if there are any issues with it.
I want a general thumbs up, I will push forward with 2 people agreeing to Kraven's plan for short rest, then move to the beach and start looking for a safe place for a long rest.

The travel down the path is mostly uneventfull, except talking. the sun continues to come up, and then you are on the beach, after looking around you find a safe area that you think would be a good spot to lay down and rest, their are some trees that would offer shade from the sun. So per our previus post you are all taking a long rest here, so now you may take a long rest. For expediting things, I will roll a group perception check even when not needed, such as now with the long rest and people taking guard.
"So with the compass we seem to have a direction of travel for this fallen star, anyone got a boat? We might as well travel back to our employer so we can get paid and then maybe he has a boat we can use." Kraven says.
"Aye. I wouldn't mind a payout, a pint, and a pot to bathe in. Need to wash off the stink of that temple. Hopefully the crackpot is more giving with boats than carts."
