Sniv wanders into the room, now that it is unlocked, and moves over to the candelabra. Creating a small fire in his hands and uses it to light the candelabra. Once the room is lit, he meanders over to the bookshelf and starts perusing the books for anything familiar or standout.

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
There are a set of books here both familiar and unfamiliar. It mostly consists of books about fiction, some older books about religion and more books about economy and magic.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Varn said they shouldn't split, and he's following that idea for now.)
Varn looks around the room once, making sure there are no monster on the ceiling. Then, assuming there are none, he tries the other door, checking if it's actually locked if it is, he asks Komos to open it.
The room is devoid of monsters for now. The only sounds present are those of the characters and the ambient noises from outside. That is... what ambient noises you can have everyone in the town seems to have disappeared. The door is indeed locked.
Sadly it seems that the padlock holding the door shut is much sturdier and more complex than the previous lock. It does not open. Maybe the key for the pad-lock is somewhere in the house.
"Alright, picking failed. Should I burn it down? I used a little too much magic and feel a little light-headed now, but controlling flames should not be a problem."
Unless someone objects, Varn uses the Create Bonfire-Control Flames combo to turn the door into a pile of ashes, without burning anything else or leaving flames behind.
Just like before the door is slowly burned away after a few minutes, letting the party enter the room beyond. The room beyond is one with clay walls and stone floors. Half of the front wall, the right wall and the back wall are lined with shelves. There is a large work bench on the front wall. On the left wall is a row of hooks hanging various tools. This room seems to be a workshop for hobby projects. There are metal chests on the shelf that's on the front wall. The right wall shelves have boxes full of nails, metal scraps and other materials for crafting. The tool hangers hang a saw, a pair of tongs, and a hammer. On the back shelve are various small figurines made of clay, metal and stone.
"Alright. Anyone need anything from here? Otherwise, let's continue searching this place. We didn't search the top floor yet." He waits to see whether anyone takes anything/searches the room, and once they're done, begins to lead the way upstairs. "But honestly, if we find nothing of interest, I'd rather leave this town and search for big, mean and scary-looking monsters who don't disappear."
Sniv hears Varn's comment and cocks his head to the side as he looks into the room. The older kobold's eyes fix on the small figurines and the variety of materials that have been used to construct them intrigues him. Stepping carefully into the room, Sniv says, "Those figurines. Perhaps they are of the monsters we are fighting. Maybe we could get an idea of what is to come next." As he steps closer and examines the figurines, he replies to Varn's comment, "I don't think we'll find anything scarier than what we've fought here, and even if we do, I'm not sure that we could take it down. Instead, I think it's just a matter of getting the monsters not to disappear. Perhaps that should be our mission."

"If we could do that, that would be good enough for me. Let's try again with the next one, if we find another. This time, we can just stay and cut their head off together."
“I have a feeling that the head may disappear as well, even if we keep it ourselves…” Komos says, thinking back to his souvenir, and adds, “I believe once the corpse, or piece, is no longer observed it will disappear. But let us see what we find anyway.”
Searching the various figurines, you find nothing of particular note. It's figurines of knights and soldiers, swords and shields, gold and treasure... gods and goddesses.
"What if we keep observing it?" Varn asks the obvious. "We'll just not lift our eyes off it and it'll remain." Sometimes, strange problems require the simplest solutions... he hopes.
Sniv turns back to the others and rejoins the conversation. "Varn makes an interesting point. If something is causing our trophy to disappear, then we just have to not let our eyes off of it and we'll eventually figure out what it is."

Following the series of doors back out to the main room, Sniv glances around as he walks and then starts to make his way up the stairs. The last time, the monsters had found them and Sniv didn't see a reason why this would be different.

(OOC: Are Komos and Varn following Sniv into the room?)

((I don't know. That's for Komos and Varn to decide))

Komos is definitely with the group, and, feeling confident after the last couple doors, asks for guidance and then sets at the new door. 26
