Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Grianne catches a moving shadow. I must end this quickly. In word of her Secret Druidic language she raises he staff high only to slam the base hard to the ground. A storm cloud appears above the opposite side of the arena and lightning begins to strike the earth.
Grianne casts Call Lightning centered at O11. DC 14 dex for 18 on fail. half that on success.
If i have to move out too see that point then i go as far as needed.
Those of us in the 2nd lvl fight don't really feel that they got a good set in, it was over too early. How about we do a combo 2nd and 3rd level fight to really mix it up? and maybe throw the 1st lvls in too.

(Has an announcement been made regarding level 3's? No rush, I just have been keeping a loose eye on this thread and didn't want to miss out if it was.)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Eider, Level 13 Human Abjurer Wizard - Colosseum of Conquest (11W-3L) (Tougher than he looks)
Gewonnt flies out quietly though his bright plumage gives him away to Grianne, who can see well in the dim light.
Shmitty seeks out cover, though his position is also revealed to her keen senses.
Grianne watches across the narrow gaps in the battlefield. She rushes out as Shmitty claims the stairs. She calls a storm cloud and a flash of lightning falls on the hunter. The memory of lightning's power still fresh in his mind Shmitty stumbles and is hit by the full force of the blow. (You must move your full 35 ft. to target O-11.)
(Notes: your passive perception is -5 with disadvantage without darkvision.
There is, only one flag, I realize now what Toren was asking about, the flags from the last battle in this arena were still on the map. This is corrected. There is one flag in the center of the field only.)

Still smoking, Shmitty will move to O9 envelop Grianne with his Hunter's Mark.
He leans out the window and fires two shots at her with everything he has *Th-Thwack* Attack: 5 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. Attack: 6 Damage: 16

(Bow 1d6 Hunter's Mark 1d6 Dex >2 and Sharp Shooter +10. "+10!" You may say. But it comes with a -5 to hit. A steep cost. As demonstrated by the 7 to hit Shmitty roled.)
(Actually -5 is not as much as it would seem to be, as evidenced by the fact that he rolled a 21. The amount of ways to compensate for the penalty to hit far outweighs its negatives. Also, in 5e with Sharpshooter and Crossbow Expert there is pretty much no reason to go for melee over ranged. Anyways, none of this matters and sorry for derailing the thread.
Reply to next post: Take medium armour master and a shield (because hand crossbow is one-handed) and your AC will be one of the highest possible. Also Grappling is easily countered by spellcasters.)

(There are many reasons to go melee. Monks make the best grapplers in the game, and grappling is broken. Shmitty is a ranged version of a fighter I play on table top and honestly I miss the AC and Health)
(Could you remind me which letters correspond to which characters?
And three of us got 18 for initiative. What are the chances. (The chances are approximately 1/1000, if my calculations are correct.)
So what's the initiative order?)
