THE VILLAGE OF KRESK. FIND THE HOLY SYMBOL OF RAVENKIND. To help you guys visualize what i'm talking about. Most of the town is woods and little homes, with the rest being the abbey. If these maps are helpful for you all to imagine what i'm describing, i'll add more visuals. I'll post again when I get home.
The air grows colder as you approach the walled settlement. Two square towers with peaked roofs flank a stone archway into which is set a pair of 12 foor tall ironbound wooden doors. Carved into the arch above the doors is a name: KREZK. The walls that extend from the gatehouse are 20 feet high.
Atop the parapet you see four figures wearing fur hats and clutching spears. They watch you nervously.
"Who goes there?" One of them asks. "State your business!"
Martha waves, “Oh! Well, I’m Mathadriel, bladedancer of Eilistraee. We’re here to visit your beautiful settlement, also we were attacked by wolves so some rest would be great.”

The guards look at each other again. "Wait here." One says, and he leaves to summon someone. A few minutes later, the town burgomaster appears, opening the gates. He walks to you all. He is a man in his late 30s, has a tired look to his face, but you can tell he is a Lord.
"You'll have to forgive us, we're not used to outsiders coming all this way to our little village." He has a warm welcoming smile, but stands his guard. "Tell me. Why are you here? Who are you?"
"I am Dmitri Krezkov. My ancestors built this town, and my family has lived here for as long as I can remember." He explains. "We are a small village, a commune of sorts. We do not ever leave the walls for if we do, my people are slaughtered by wolves and undead. We have everything we need here."
"What business do you have with the Abbey? If you are not allied with Strahd, you are his enemy - and that means I am allowing his enemies into my village. You'll have to do better than that to convince me to let you in. I'm sure we can reach an arrangement."
"Well, we've got Ireena here with us" Bors gestures for her to come forward. "Her father is the Burgomaster of another miserable town which is being crushed under Strahd's boot. She's decided to go after Strahd, and has asked that we help her. Maybe your people would like to go outside these walls someday. Well, it won't happen while Strahd is still lord of this realm."
"Ireena. It is good to meet you. I have heard many things about your father." He takes her hand, and nods, while looking everyone over again. "I see Strahd himself as taken a...personal interest in you." He notices Ireena's bite marks. "How interesting.."
"Suppose I let you in." He asks you all. "What are your intentions. The Abbey? No one in our village has gone up there in a hundred years. We stay away from it. What could possibly interest you there?"

Approaching the gate, Bors nods to the guards. If the gate is open, he'll enter the town, otherwise he'll call to the guards. "Open the gate."
