Illburnya looks up at the group ( well, most of it) and says "Certainly a short rest would enable me to use arcane recovery and regain a spell. I think i can recover some health during a short rest as well.
If i understand 13 correctly he is suggesting we reach the citadel before resting, but can we have a little rest here please?"
He is still feeling quite wobbly after being bitten a few times.

Eerie sets her little pet down and chitters at it gestering about and at the rope (she's is trying to inquire how frequently Big things travel through here to see if its safe to stop). She then encourages it to scavenge around as it wishes (encouraging it to show off what it finds as she will be very proud) as she glances around for any plants or herbs that may grow in the area that could be useful for Illburnya's recovery to wrap injuries or refresh him. She hands him the remaining 3 soon to expire(spellwise not rotten-wise)Goodberry and says she can cast it again later but its a trade off for a cure so waiting to see which is best as the berries take a moment to work.
Eerie, "Here my friend, lets move nearer to the wall so I can make us look like a bush or rock while the others scout ahead a little." If he's willing, she'll guide him over nearer to the wall and use some the existing terrain and illusion to shelter them so he may rest and recover. minor illusion(note its limited to only one thing just the appearance of a bush or rock for instance rather than actual substance, smell, etc and 5 ft cube, thus the terrain for assistance.)
Guardian doesn’t require a rest either due to the level of celestial energy still flowing through his veins (and the fact he was basically hanging around on a rope for the entire encounter).
”I’m happy to accompany 13 for support while the others rest”
"I would very much welcome the company of a soldier of the gods. Lets walk, check for dangers and make sure the path is clear for the others.
I do have a very important question to ask of you. Is the bard with the bagpipes any good? I've been switching off my auditory channels every time he performs?
Your squirrel friend indicates that the Big Things use the rope every couple of days.
Eerie's Minor Illusion adds a degree of camouflage to herself and Illburnya, although if Notian remains on the ledge he will be undisguised.
(If the party splits at this point then I will proceed with 13 and Guardian until enough time has passed in game for the other three to process a short rest)
Before they part, she chitters at the squirrel some more trying to determine the last appearance of the Big Things was recent or a couple days ago? "My friend here says that bigger things come through here every couple of days, I'm trying to find if the last time was recently." (Did we intend a long rest or short? I was thinking short - hourish. My illusions will be on and off and they will only last a minute at a time.)
Illburnya sinks gratefully to the ground chewing on a goodberry. He thanks Eerie again for her help. He says tiredly " I will rest here for a bit and recover, I'll also be able to recover a spell with my Arcane recovery ability as long as we don't get disturbed. It shouldn't take more than an hour I think."
Even though he has only been with the group a short while, 13 feels a little guilty leaving party members behind whilst they rest and with no protection.
”Notion and Guardian, do you think it wise to remain close to Illburnya and Eerie in case anything happens? We are likely to require their help going forward? Then we will lead the way into the citadel altogether. Perhaps Notion can play us a light ditty. I will listen well this time.”
(OOC: Illburnya’s player has decided to drop out of the game as he has a lot of other things going on IRL)
During the rest you notice that among the rubble is an old ring of stones that contains (and is covered by) the accumulated ash of hundreds of fires, though no fire has been lit here for a few years. Inside the ash pile are a few rough-hewn spear tips of goblin manufacture and small animal bones.
After your brief pause to recoup and catch your breath, you are ready to descend the carved stairs to the citadel. The narrow stairs empty into a small courtyard, apparently the top of what was once a crenellated battlement. The buried citadel has sunk so far into the earth that the battlement is now level with the surrounding floor. That floor stretches away to the north and south, composed of a layer of treacherous, crumbled masonry, which reaches to an unknown depth. To the west looms the surviving structure of what must be the Sunless Citadel. A tower stands on the west side of the courtyard.

Eerie follows the group closely as not well armored but is concerned about the rubble hiding more creatures so looks around cautiously as she goes. perception9 She tries to follow in the middle if the group does not object. If her little squirrel friend wants to continue with her inside she will keep it safely hidden in her clothing or pack and encourage it to keep still and quiet but may look about and let her know if it sees bad things.
(bidding illburnya/illsavya well in his real life adventures)
You notice an unmortared section of tiles in front of the door, 10ft by 10ft. You also discern (thanks to your passive Investigation) that there is a 2ft-wide section down the middle that might serve as a catwalk if the floor were to become unstable.
"Notian, 13 walk here. This area is safer, to the left and right look too unstable." Eerie gestures using a slight illumination of the area with her minor illusion to assist in noting the path that is safe.
(and farewell to guardian, sad to see you both go)

Illburnya - should gain 3 hp from the berries, one for each.
Illburnya thanks Eerie and eats a Goodberry. It makes him feel a little better, and is grateful for the help. (DM i assume i gain 1 hp?)
13 needs a long rest in order to regain his rage slot, so a short rest is not needed at the moment.
