Thom, your keen eye as you search the passages leads you to a handful of man-made holes in the walls. Your military experience and background leads you to instantly recognizes these as murder-holes, probably meant for individuals to sit with crossbows or other weapons, peer through as their prey meandered through the passages beneath, and be easily dispersed of with projectiles.
One passage is blocked off by a particularly heavy stone. You guys can work together to move it, if you wish, no check required.
It's taken about 30 minutes altogether to do a sweep of the place, and it's about sundown by the time you guys finish. Nic and Anne have just freshly departed as you all have concluded your most recent search, though Nic seemed to be in a bit of a hurry to leave.
Alternatively, you guys can repeat the same set of checks as before to perform a second sweep of the area, but such will take about another 30 minutes to thoroughly check everywhere for anything missed.
OOC Note: I'll be busy tomorrow, and likely will not be posting. Feel free to take the extra day to RP amongst yourselves, figure out a plan of action, and we'll pick up from there :D

Thom and Wulgar work together to move the heavy stone, investigating that passage. Depending on what is found, after investigating, we move the stone back in the original position. Afterwards, Wulgar gets in position behind the murder holes, readies a javelin to throw and waits quietly.
"How many of 'em will come? I guess we can just sit quiet and patient if there are too many. I wonder what we will see, a meeting, smugglers, kidnappers, or what?" he muses out loud.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"I am unsure how many their will be. But I don't know if we should be the executioners. One thing that we have not really looked into is the quality of the people who are missing. Should we be just assume that they are good people in a bad situation? What if the missing people are evil, and the ones taking them are the heros of the story?" Thom's sudden burst of critial thinking hits him hard.
"I'm not so sure about that. Heroes wouldn't need to be so clandestine with their deeds. I think we assume that the people who are missing are the good guys, and whoever is taking them are the baddies."
Cora is in agreement with Lucille. "I agree with Lucille, if the ones doing the takin' were the good guys, we wouldn't need to be lookin' to find them. I say we hide behind these walls, look through the holes and just observe. We'll stay ready in case we get into a fight, but I say we just watch. Gather intel as y'all would say."
"Agreed. Let's stay extra quiet like, not even a burp, sneeze or a fart. ((barbarian)). We'll watch what they do and listen, may even have the chance to follow them. But I think these guards are up to no good. Shhhh. Let's stay quiet now." Wulgar waits in silence, drawing figures in the sand.
(Anything else seen down the passage after we moved the stone?)

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
After the stones have been moved, it reveals a cache of crossbows and bolts, as well as pikes. Looks like the weapons the 'guards' would use to harass whoever they lured down here. The weapons and other implements clearly weren't dragged into town. As well, buried within are a few sacks of various coins: perhaps stolen from the fishermen. It isn't much, little more than a few weeks of wages.
As you guys are wrapping up, you hear the clattering of armor outside, as individuals are quickly approaching. Roll me Stealth checks to hide in the passages from the guards as they approach.

"Hey, I think someone's here!" mentions one of the guards. Sure enough, torchlight begins to spew into the passage, and the sounds of weapons being drawn is heard. The silhouettes of four guards appear in sight, and are in the line of fire of your murder-holes, as well.
Everyone, roll me initiative. The enemy is unfortunately not surprised, and is well aware of your presence, save Lucille. You'll have advantage on the first attack roll you make on your first turn of combat, should you wish to make one.
The two guards likely least-prepared for the battle ahead take up the front of the group, moving through the corridor. Both take actions to Dash, unable to attack most of you through the holes in the wall. Both carry spears, and are preparing to attack on their next turn.
The cowardly guard, a pencil-thin young lad rounds a corner, only to stop face-to-face with a massive red dragonborn. He screams, his cries echoing in the passageways, as he brandishes his spear at you, Wulgar.
The elderly guard, a man with a clear beer-belly and unshaven stubble on his face follows shortly behind. He also moves beside his friend, making a spear-wall.
Cora, Thom, you may take your turns. These two guards are well within range for melee attacks, and all four are within range for ranged attacks.

Cora during one of the searches will attempt to hide and then jump out and scare Lucille.
Stealth: 14
Assuming she succeeds, she'll tackle Lucille. "Boo!" She'll shout before laughing.
Regardless if she succeeds or not, after the sweep, she'll suggest attempting to move the rock and finding a way behind the holes in the wall.

Lucille sees Cora's attempt at hiding, and decides to play along, pretending to be scared when the other halfling jumps out.
"Yes, let's move some rocks and move on!" Lucille flexes her admittedly unimpressive muscles.
