This question is mostly in regards to the relatively new Path of the Giant subclass for Barbarians. When raging this subclass gives the character an additional 5ft of reach when raging at level 3 (10ft at lvl 14!) and applies the thrown property to one weapon you're wielding with a normal range of 20ft and a long range of 60ft. My question is, does this additional reach get added to the range of your thrown weapons?
It just feels a little silly to me to be able to hit an enemy 15ft away with a melee strike at lvl 14 but then only be able to effectively throw that same weapon 5 more feet. Not to mention if you're using a polearm and chose to be a bugbear your melee strikes could have 25ft of reach making your melee strikes longer range than your normal thrown range.
The Elemental Cleaver feature doesn't grant additional range like it does for reach, it instead it let you infuse one weapon and gains the thrown property, with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. If the weapon already had the thrown property and range, it would be the highest that prevail.
