If it gives you advantage in attacking against foes you've grappled, what point is there in restraining your foe as you lose your advantage as you count as restrained as well and at best have a normal roll depending on how your DM does stacking advantages. and foes gain advantage in attacking you
The idea was to give your allies advantage on attacking the creature you pinned. But it was always quite a poor choice and rarely used and thus it got removed in the 2024 rules set and other benefits was added instead.
I don't get this part :( Could you or anyone please explain why?
He's looking at the 2014 version of the feat. So if you grapple a creature you have advantage on attacks against it but if you pin the creature you have grappled then both it and you are restrained meaning it would be a straight roll instead.

I understand now :D thanks @Thezzaruz! My thoughts were on the 2024 version.

In a word: teamwork.
Yes, you're restrained. You also just buffed the rest of the party and debuffed your target at the same time. Not everything was supposed to be about you.
