Charity is the foundation of Chivalry. A knight with great wealth would of course turn over their horse to the beggar. now if it was rewaorded to be "the first person you meet", and that person already had a horse or was not a beggar/poor, then it might become unreasonable. this spell mostly guesswork on the part of the player
Thinking back, a low-level party I was DMing used suggestion in a battle that was turning against the monsters. It was pretty clear the PCs were going to win, and they had no need to kill this particular monster, so a spellcaster "suggested" the monster run away and would be allowed to live. I thought it was clever, and it also gave me the opportunity to end a combat that was already effectively won, so I made sure the monster failed their save and took the advice :)

Certainly, but that doesn't do much in the context of a discussion about using suggestion in combat.
"Not all those who wander are lost"
The GM can actually call a fight as soon as it's clear that the players will win.
