I have questions regarding what happens when the magic jar object is destroyed. Let's say a wizard created the magic jar and his old body rested near the jar in a catatonic state. A poor fighter approaches, fails the save and is possessed. So the current situation is:
-Wizard's body is still in a catatonic state
- Fighter's soul is in the jar
- Wizard's soul is in fighter's body
Now, what happens if the magic jar is destroyed:
A) While all three objects (the jar and two bodies) are far apart? Do both the wizard and fighter die?
B) While all three objects are close to each other? Does everybody get to return to their original bodies, or does the fighter's soul die while the wizard's soul continues to live inside the fighter's body?
C) The fighter's and wizard's bodies are close together, but the jar is far away?
D) The wizard's body is near the jar, but the fighter's body is far away?
E) The fighter's body (with the wizard's soul) is close to the jar, but the wizard's original body is far away?
So what you are saying is that once the magic jar object is destroyed, all souls in question attempt to return to their original bodies, regardless if how many of them there are, or where are the souls currently located (who is in jar, who is in who's body, etc.)?
Resolve each soul independently starting with wizard's soul. If wizard is within 100 ft of body, they inhabit it and live, of not they die.
If the fighter's soul (where the magic jar was when it was destroyed) is within 100 ft of its body, it returns to its body and the fighter lives, otherwise they die.

I think there's some potential complicated daisy chains you could set up with subsequent Magic Jars and Clones, but they probably start crossing the line from clearcut RAW to requiring some DM buy-in. Magic JarA to leave Body 0 behind and steal Body A from Creature A, then CloneA yourself to create spare Body A2. Magic JarB to leave Body A behind and steal Body B from Creature B....
You're out adventuring in Body B, and die. I would think that first, Magic JarB checks to see if you're within 100 feet of Jar B to return you to it, and if that fails, CloneA returns you to Body A2 if it exists, and if that fails, Magic JarA checks to see if you're within 100 feet of Jar A to return you to it, and if that fails, you die.
You're out adventuring in Body B, and Jar B is destroyed. Magic JarB checks to see if you're within 100 feet of Body A, and if that fails, CloneA returns you to Body A2 if it exists, and if that fails, Magic JarA checks to see if you're within 100 feet of Jar A to return you to it, and if that fails, you die.
You're out adventuring in Body B, and Jar A is destroyed. Magic JarA checks to see if you're within 100 feet of Body 0, and if that fails, Magic JarB checks to see if you're within 100 feet of Jar B, and if that fails, CloneA returns you to Body A2 if it exists, and if that fails, you die.
That chain is contingent on the DM ruling that stacking Magic Jar and Clone spells creates a first-in-last-out order of operations. Alternatively, I could see all Magic Jar triggering first-in-last-out in order first (since they trigger on the body dying), and then Clone spells triggering first-in-last-out in order second (since they trigger on the soul being freed and departing from a final death?). Either way... this seems like a way to steal multiple bodies from multiple creatures, and possibly set up a combo where you can then re-possess a clone of your choice at a future time by destroying jars in a precisely controlled manner?

The other possibility of what Clone is doing.. maybe being resurrected into a Clone severs your depence upon a past Jar that pre-dates that Clone, by making your clone "your body" instead of the "body you're occupying," thus removing your Achilles Heel? I dunno, there's something there, some sort of horrible Rube Goldberg system of jars and clones :p
