Knowingly a paladin and warlock multi class is pretty good. Mostly because of stacking hex’s and smites on enemies. I am wondering how would we doing said multiclass whilst also staying true to alignment. At first I thought celestial path would be easy. Since celestials and the Paladin deity would maybe be good. The only problem is that hexblade is the better warlock. I kinda don’t want to balance the deities because that would be to cliche.
So im thinking:
Traitor hexblade whose purpose is to enact revenge. Aka vengeance Paladin.
completely forsaken the oath but the Paladin powers are twisted.
Honestly the first thing I would do is talk to your DM to figure out exactly how much he'll allow and give you a clearly defined line of how much you can push each class/subclass and how to multiclass the character you're trying to build, at the end of the day it's his campaign and you're subject to however much flare and flavour he'll allow, unless you're just conjuring up the character for the sake of experimentation and what ifs.
My approach personally is that your alignment doesn't define your character, your character defines their alignment.
That is very true that the character defines the alignment. It just seems conflicting the two classes with each other since of the two deities. The advice was really helpful since it is really mostly up to the DM. I guess I just want to challenge myself.
