Starting at a level 7 college of lore bard. Our parties main damage is from our barbarian and I was trying to find some good spells that could be used to buff them. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Haste is the best martial buffing spell in the 3rd-4th level range. It'll take a Magical Secret/Magical Discovery to learn it as it isn't a innate bard spell, but it's a well-earned pick. As far as bard spells go...
Heroism or Calm Emotions: Can help against Fear effects, though both require concentration.
Lesser Restoration: Ability to remove Blindness, Deafness, Paralysis, or Poison. The italicized benefits being the most relevant, though the Poisoned condition is no fun either.
Faerie Fire: Giving advantage to attack roles for your Barbarian (and everyone else) is great at any level. Requires concentration.
Freedom of Movement: A higher level spell, but allowing your Barbarian to have free mobility, easier time getting out of grapples, and the ability to circumvent paralysis entirely for an hour? Very effective in the right circumstances.
Dissonant Whispers: Not a buff spell, but if timed correctly you could be giving your Barbarian a free attack of opportunity. If coupled with Haste, that could be 3 attacks in one turn.
When building a support caster, I'd pick Haste for my buffing Magical Secret, and then maybe two of the above depending on what you think you'll be encountering in the campaign.

Barbarian already gets Advantage on attacks from Reckless, but Heroism is very very good to have as getting frightened can cripple a barbarian plus those temporary hit points go twice as far thanks to their Rage. Calm emotions is also good to pick up if your DM starts throwing Charm enemies at you, because a charmed barbarian is bad for the whole party.
Haste is a classic buff spell for all martials, Greater Invisibility is great for both you and your allies - a must-take honestly. Freedom of Movement is also mandatory for parties to have at higher levels when enemy caster DCs start getting higher. Fly is another situational but super useful spell to have to make sure that barbarian can get into range to kill any enemy.
Polymorph can be used as a buff/healing spell in a pinch. Aid as well as various healing spells are a good option as well. At higher levels you could use Magical Secrets to pick up Holy Weapon from the Cleric spell list which is also a great buff to put on martials.
Enlarge/Reduce can be used as a less expensive alternative to Haste. It also comes in handy against really grabby enemies, and can be used offensively to make an enemy easier to grapple or weaken their attacks. Unlike most detrimental spells, it also doesn't have a save every round.
