I'll point out that the other characters only have generic versions of their weapons. Escanor, technically, only has a battleaxe; not Divine Axe Rhitta. Meliodas just has a greatsword, not Dragon Handle or Lostvayne. The reason was that those artifacts should be made using the Magic Item design rules, but I'm just following the NPC / Monster design rules here.
So yes, Diane should have a a magic artifact called Gideon, but to do the artifact justice we'd have to design it as an independent magic weapon. In light of that, I opted to take Mephista's advice from earlier in the thread, and I designed her as a pugilist.
Yeah, that makes sense. I understand!! Maybe, if you become "the guy who makes anime/manga characters into D&D characters" you could do their sacred treasures as magic items lol just saying, if you do become that guy then I will follow that thread 100% and I think you are very good at it.
Please, let’s give the barbarian is an angry person trope a rest. The Greeks considered the Macedonians barbarians. Open up the word to mean someone from outside the current civilization rules and norms. Different traditions.
Recall Riverwind in the Dragonlance books. Barbarian bit more stoic than the strong angry man child. Even Conan he Barbarian shouldn’t be defined as an “angry character”.
However, if we go to the Norse tales of the berserker rage, that is something more akin to the Aristotlian notion of rash in a battle sense than a personality trait of just a walking anger machine.

I do not disagree, but in D&D the Barbarian has always been the only class with a Rage feature... Rage is "violent uncontrollable anger", so it stands to reason that the most common depiction of a Barbarian in the mind of people would be an extremely angry person.
I have seen some pretty neat variants of the concept in THIS thread, but still, if someone wants to make an extremely angry character, or a character that can loose themselves in anger, Barbarian is the go-to class, plain and simple, and it's because of the system, not what the people might think of "barbarian" concept.
P.S. I would argue that Conan was not exactly the most relaxed character ever, so defining him as "angry" is not such a stretch, imho...

So, it's been a while since I've had some time to work on these NPC dudes from the 7 Deadly Sins anime. A few people sent me some messages requesting the last members of the group, Gowther and King, and I finally had some free time to make them. So here they are.
By the way, if you've used these NPC's in your games, let me know how it went. Did you change anything about them? Did they feel too powerful or underwhelming? I'd love to know.
GOWTHER
Gowther Medium construct AC: 17; HP: 120 (16d8 + 48); SPD: 30 ft. Self-destruction Device (optional): Either as an action, or when Gowther is reduced to 0 HP, he can self-destruct. When he does, any creature with 300 feet must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 10d6 + 40 force damage or half as much on a successful save. If this damage reduces a creature to 0 hit points, the creature is disintegrated. Gowther is also disintegrated and cannot be revived save for a True Resurrection or a Wish spell. Innate Spellcasting. Gowther can innately cast the following spells at will, and requires no material components: Disguise Self, Message, Minor Illusion.

Searchlight. Gowther casts the Detect Thoughts spell on the target (DC 14 saving throw). The target has disadvantage on its Wisdom saving throw to resist the spell.
Rewrite Light. The target becomes charmed by Gowther and its memories become temporarily modified. The target shakes off the effect at the end of its next turn and is no longer charmed.
Nightmare. Gowther casts Phantasmal Force on the target (DC 14 saving throw). The target has disadvantage on its Intelligence saving throws to resist or dispel the illusion.
Blackout. Gowther casts the Sleep spell. The spell is treated as though it were cast at 4th level.
Jack. Gowther casts the Enthrall spell (DC 14 saving throw). The target has disadvantage on its Wisdom saving throw to resist the spell.
KING
King Medium fey AC: 13 (16 with mage armor); HP: 110 (16d8 + 38) ; SPD: 30 ft.; fly 65 ft. Major Transformation. King transmutes one nonmagical object—no larger than a 5-foot cube—into another nonmagical object of similar size and mass and of equal or lesser value. He must spend 10 minutes handling the object to transform it.
Panacea. King removes all curses, diseases, and poisons affecting a creature that he touches. The target creature also regains all its hit points.
Restore Life. King casts the raise dead spell on a creature he touches. This does not expend a spell slot.

I am so glad you are back!!! I literally just checked this forum again 2 days ago to see if I missed a post! But I love these two! They feel so accurate with Disaster and Invasion. Gowther is my favorite from SDS and I'm very pleased with how it came out
So Lightspeed, I just watched Yu Yu Hakusho for the first time and finished the Dark Tournament arc. I'm not sure if you ever watched it, but I was thinking about running a Dark Tournament Arc in my D&D campaign and was wondering if you had any thoughts on the competitors from the anime?
Haha I loved that show when I was a kid. I'll have to do some refresher research on the characters. Did any of the teams stand out to you?
Well they were all cool in their own ways, but the obvious ones were Team Toguro and Team Urameshi. Team Uraotogi was a good one, they each had a magic item, which I think translates well to D&D.
If you want a player to play one, i have the perfect homebrew race for you. king could be this race along with a wild magic sorcerer. Just change the name and edit it a bit. Its a little bit powerful but.. that's literally king in a nutshell lol.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your dexterity Increases by 1.
Child of the Fey. You have a flying speed of 30 feet and have the ability to hover. This is not a biological ability but a magic ability mastered by the fey touched people.
Lazy fey. Your normal walking speed is 15. Fey touched are very lazy and prefer to fly than walk, they CAN walk as fast as a average human but choose not to due to their lazy nature.
Underwhelming Build. You count as one size smaller when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Fey Touch. at fith level As an action, you can touch an object that weighs up to 5 pounds and cause it to float. As a bonus action on each of your turns, you can cause the object to move up 40 feet in any direction within 80 feet of you. Objects floating in this manner can be used to carry up to 150 pounds if an object or creature exceeds the weight limit they say aloft the object and the object descends to the ground at a rate of 10 feet per round. Only one object can be affected at a time. Starting at tenth level, you gain the ability to finely maneuver objects in lethal ways. As an action, you can use a simple or improvised melee weapon that you have touched to make a melee attack against a creature or object within 40 feet. When you attack with the object use your dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Sylvan. You can understand common but cannot speak it. At third level you have mastered the common speech and can hence speak it.
Yeah, that makes sense. I understand!! Maybe, if you become "the guy who makes anime/manga characters into D&D characters" you could do their sacred treasures as magic items lol just saying, if you do become that guy then I will follow that thread 100% and I think you are very good at it.

Hello Van,
How are you?
According to me you should go with King = Wizard because it looks so royal and amazing.
My name is Anthony Cloak. I am 34 years old. I love to collecting different kinds of dice sets such as metal dice, Dice trays and bags, polymer dice sets and other RPGs games.
can somebody help me with a full build of escanor
I'm pretty sure Escanor would be a level 20 Sun-Soul Monk with access to a haste spell.
When in doubt, go left. And don't get scared, get angry.
Escanor might be 4 levels storm herald barbarian slchoosing dessert and the rest oath of devotion paladin
Thx for this great info I’m definitely going to have a great dnd campaign
do you know what subclass for meliodas?
Add Cloud of Daggers to the spells that King can cast...
<If it didn't die the first time, you didn't kill it hard enough> and <If percussion maintenance isn't working, you didn't hit it hard enough>
I think i like Escanor as a paladin/ Gold Dragon blood sorcerer
If you want a player to play one, i have the perfect homebrew race for you. king could be this race along with a wild magic sorcerer. Just change the name and edit it a bit. Its a little bit powerful but.. that's literally king in a nutshell lol.
