So i did this using the Brute subclass unearthed arcana. i also assumed that the character could have a belt of storm giant strength while haste is being casted on him.
So if a this character was a lvl 20 fighter with the brute subclass it would have a d10 add to all attacks. If it was using a greatsword that would be 2d6+1d10+9.
If it were to get haste from someone else while using action surge it should be able to attack 12 times.
Brutes get an ability at lvl 15 to add there level to a crits damage
If somehow each of those crit it would be 48d6+24d10+240+ 96.
If some how all 72 dice rolled max damage then it should give you 864 damage.
Now of course to do this your dm would have to allow UA and give you a belt of storm giant strength for a 29 strength. All the while a caster has to cast haste. Then on top of all that everything star in the multiverse needs to line up for you.
That's... no offence but that is not how you do addition.
Adding up those values (I'm just going to assume are all correct), I only get 1930 damage. Very impressive, although that's a lot of magic items that I don't even know, this is clearly max damage, and this clearly takes a couple turns to set-up.
Edit: Oh it's satire cause Swine Soul Siphoner... oh.
That explains the 65,340,285 damage, I just assumed you messed up and put , instead of +.
Items: Swine Soul Siphoner(duh), Greatsword of Sharpness(to maximize damage dice), and an Insignia of Claws(every point counts).
Invoccations: Eldritch smite, Improved Pact Weapon, Thirsting Blade, Lifedrinker, Cloak of flies, One with Shadows, Witch Sight.
Let's get started!!
Eldritch Smite (80[turns before combat]), SSS (65,340,285), Cloak of Flies (5), Improved Pact Weapon (1), Insignia of Claws (1), Lifedirnker (5), Hex warrior (5), Savage attack (80), SoS (30), Booming Blade (80), Hex (12) and Hexblade Curse (6).
This means 240+35+65,340,285x2 equals... 130681120 damage in two hits.
I'm not sure what all of this is referencing, but Booming Blade and thirsting blade are incompatable, since one uses Attack and the other uses [Tooltip Not Found]. Is that how you are getting two hits? If so, subtract 160 damage or divide it in two.

Okay then. Take any other invoccation you would like. Also, 80 is the already doubled damage.
Post is a satire cause of Swine Soul Siphoner which is a HB item that increases cantrip damage by +65340285.
In fact, you can tell cause if this was a proper build they could literally just do a normal Eldritch blast which shoots 4 times... therefore literally without any other addons it's 261361140 damage.
There's probably some (partial) way around that with Contingency... but only for Cantrips that target the caster, not attack spells like Eldritch Blast. Unless there's some other way to cast a Cantrip as a leveled spell that I'm not thinking of.... ?

I have found this to be the highest single-turn damage build possible without any magic items (Given one turn of preparation).
A Half-Orc with 3 levels of assassin rogue, 3 levels of echo knight fighter, 2 levels of paladin, 3 levels of gloom stalker ranger, 1 level of hexblade warlock, and 8 levels of bladesinging wizard. The feats you need are Great Weapon Master (GWM), Orcish Fury (OF), and Metamagic Adept (quickened spell and twinned spell). This also assumes the strength score is 20. and the constitution score is at least 16. It also requires the spells Haste, Hunter's Mark (HM), and Booming Blade (BB). Divine smite is abbreviated "DS".
Before combat: Hexblade's Curse your main target, cast Hunter's Mark on your main target, initiate combat with a surprise round. You're going first.
Very great build, I never considered the added attack form EK would be useful in such a build, but it turns out to be pretty useful. On that note, time to destroy your build. Sorry in advance.
1. 3 feats with only 2 ASIs from Wizard(8) as a Half Orc? Or does like, Fighter (3) somehow give you a ASI?
3. Because this is a highest possible damage build, shouldn't you be using GWM on all attacks? Not just crits?
4. Haste says "That action can be used only to take the Attack (one weapon attack only)", which I believe overrides the special rules from Echo and GS that grant extra attacks. Echo could be arguable as says a additional attack, unlike GS which says it's a part of the attack. I'm not entirely sure about this one actually, I would probably have to ask some more experienced players.
5. You don't have enough sorcerer points to twinned spell (1) and quickened spell (2). Your one point off (1 + 2 = 3, you have 2).
6. Orcish Fury is once per short rest, not once on every attack. Oh you did only add it once, where is the 3d12 coming from then if you don't mind? Greataxe is 1d12 + Savage Fury I got, but not sure on the 3rd dice. I'm being silly, 1d12 (normal) + 1d12 (crit) + 1d12 (Savage Fury).
Okay now I kind of bad for shutting down this build that obviously has a lot of time and thought put into it, but it is what it is. Do tell me if I missed some or if some of these are wrong.
You can't twin booming blade anymore (I know they nerfed the crap out of it with errata). Haste action can only make 1 attack (overruling all features, not just extra attack) sadly. And when you crit, you don't double the modifier damage -120.
I'll have to double check the math when I have more time, but this does actually look very promising (if very complicated). I still like that the build I helped come with can guarantee the surprise stealth check and going first (it was also built using standard array, not assuming rolling 2-3 18s).
I put a lot more criticism in my post, but it's worth noting that they aren't doubling the modifier damage. It goes from 6 (prof from Hexblade) + 5 (STR), to 6 + 5 + 10 (GWM) on a crit. I'm not sure why they are only using GWM only on crits, but uh, whatever works?

Please correct me if i'm wrong about this
Haste only gives you one extra attack for a total of 9.
What is the current best?
Also, what are the restrictions we are using? it looks like set up and suprise is allowed?

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:

I say the most NOVA damage comes from:
Half-orc Hexbladelock 16, Assassin 4.

Invoccations: Eldritch smite, Improved Pact Weapon, Thirsting Blade, Lifedrinker, Cloak of flies, One with Shadows, Witch Sight.

You can't store cantrips in a ring of spell storing.
There's probably some (partial) way around that with Contingency... but only for Cantrips that target the caster, not attack spells like Eldritch Blast. Unless there's some other way to cast a Cantrip as a leveled spell that I'm not thinking of.... ?
Edit: Nvm, Contingency is 6th level, too big for the Ring of Spell Storing.

How exactly can you get a 9th level disintegrate? Isn't that only the case if you take 17 levels or more in one single full caster class?
For the slot, yes.
For the spell, any wizard who has met another wizard with the spell in their spellbook and has gloves of thievery can have the spell.
