Well, a new UA has been released! Time to make my poll about it! What's your favorite new lineage from UA: Draconic Options?
My favorite is the Gem Dragonborn. I would love to play a Wizard or Sorcerer as one of these because they have cool psychic abilities and powers. I am also looking forward to seeing Gem Dragons in a new book!

Next on UA: Make Bahamut a warlock patron please. Make fairy dragon Dragonborn BUT make them small size(would work great with the folk of the feywild ua).Dracolich Dragonborn?(Daurgothoth spawned?) Just some ideas. For the draconic spells, maybe make 2 lvl 8 spells for Bahamut and Tiamat related and make the 9th level spell from Io. That would be epic!
I'm a black dragonborn for life. I like the whole of the UA tho, always felt the Dragonborn races felt lesser even compared to the Lizardfolk. I still think Dragonborn should have Natural Armor like them too.

A dragon warlock patron is long overdue, honestly.
Exactly. I am honestly surprised that there is not one. We have draconic ancestry, dragon's breath(both the spell and Dragonborn ability). If you look at 3.5e they had a class similar to a warlock(I think it was dragon shaman. Correct me if I am wrong). Also, why no dragon paladins? Bahamut was never mentioned in hoard of the dragon queen, and rise of tiamat books. He is literally the lore's greatest rival of her. But I digress lol. What are your thoughts?
Yes to more Bahamut in 5e! I'm reminded of the cool Dragonborn of Bahamut for 3e. They could be any race and then literally be reborn as half-dragon champions of Bahamut. Very neat from a lore and character arc perspective. Then there's sort of the opposite of that with one of the character backgrounds from HotDQ and RoT:
You have a secret. You once were a gold dragon who served Bahamut. You were too proud and vain, to the point that Bahamut decided to teach you a lesson. You have been trapped in a weak, humanoid body, with your memories of your former life but a dim shadow. You remember only one thing with perfect clarity: Bahamut’s command to go into the world and prove your devotion to the cause of good. If you prove worthy, on your death you will return to his side in your true form.

Holy crap I've never thought of that: that would be brilliant! Tiamat could work as well I suppose.

I see the appeal, though really Warlock patrons, at least in their level one pacts, usually don't stand as high in their extraplanar hierarchies. I'm sure their are plenty of games with Bahamut or Tiamat patrons played as pacts with Celestial or Fiend. I imagine there could be Draconic pacts, maybe branched into chromatic, metallic and possibly gemstone specific pacts; but really you're actually patron would probably be at most a Great Wyrm (yet to officially be 5e statted) or an Ancient working as vassals of whoever's at the top of the pyramid.
I dunno though, I'm always a bit "meh" about how Celestial warlocks work lore wise, I could see some angels picking someone for their sides "Dirty work" but the celestial oriented Gods themselves including Bahamut figure they have Clerics and Paladins. It's like literally high mindedness, and Warlocks and the epitome of the dirty bargain.
I imagine Faeriedragonborn would be another Kobold iteration Feyed up. The Dracolichborn, I would see more likely as some sort of aspirant Abishai ("Tiamat noticed me! ... and transformed me) but instead an undeadite boney Draco thingy, Actually Abishai would probably be the patrons of those trying to get Tiamat's pact favors.
I see where you are coming from, but since Bahamut is the creator of Dragonborn I thought it would make since to make him either a patron or a focus for paladins if you know what I mean. I appreciate your feedback too. I really enjoy coming up with stuff like this and just brainstorming.
Hell yeah. I was disappointed to see him absent from the Tiamat books in 5e. But I love your description of having a disciplined dragon prove his devotion. Very cool stuff

Plenty of games I've played in and watched streaming have Paladins and Clerics of Bahamut, some Dragonborn, some other humanoids. Bahamut is a sort of ideal. Just like in FR and elsewhere Tiamat has cults (with clerics and at least one notable canon NPC pathbreaker paladin) too. I'd actually say a Tiamat/Bahamut pantheon is pretty easy way to run a classic good vs evil campaign. In fact, it's actually sorta the rough basis for the Dragonlance pantheon on Krynn, they just go by other names (though whether Palladine is actually Bahamut is up for debate I guess, but The Queen of Darkness is definitely Tiamat).

My favorite is the Chromatic lineage, but the metallic feat is my favorite feat.
