SO we will get revamped spells with no player testing and Subclasses And just have to accept how they will be in the new PHB.
Will be waiting a while before getting it.
If you plan on waiting that’s completely up to you. And probably something a lot of people will do. I do that sometimes with software updates or video games to see if it’s stable and the major bugs worked out.
But the playtest wasn’t so the community could give feedback on everything, but for WotC to gauge what the community liked or didn’t like with changes they were proposing. The surveys may or may not have been the best for that purpose but here we are.
I too wish we would have seen more spell testing, we did see some, but they may have enough info to make the changes they want to. I don’t think there are a ton of spells that are broken. But many need small tweaks, either too much or too little damage for the level, etc.
Fingers crossed they do a good job balancing them and fixing the real broken ones <cough>Simulacrum<cough>
I'm ok with not seeing all the spells, at least we got a peek at some of them. I'm more worried not seeing a single monster revision. That being the last book to come out also worries me. It is hard to accurately judge the power level of the class changes when you don't what they are going to be fighting.

I think they are thinking MP:MoM is good enough an example since it seems that was the direction they are going. But I agree with you, it would have been nice to see something from the new MM
