Just finished the survey as well. I hope these subclasses make it to official publication someday, with adjustments to make them fully realized of course.

"Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup."
I just filled out the survey. I wish there was more space for feedback in the individual sections, I had to seriously shorten down my feedback in order to fit it all. Hopefully they change things how they need to with my negative feedback, instead of just abandoning the subclasses.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
I worded it by saying how great the class is and then suggested tweaks and changes. Hopefully that gets around their 'its not perfect to axe it for good' mentality.
Yeah, most of my comments were thematic more than mechanical, but I eventually came down on the side of wanting the Drake Companion to be a permanent pet, but that it would be cool if they gave you some robust customization options at the beginning so you could "build" your pet at level 3 and keep it at your side the whole time. Like, being able to choose maybe two damage types, choose between some combination of flight, swim speed, large size, and maybe a few more options just for variety, and then have your own unique pet to go forward with.
If any class deserves a robust subclass feature with a mechanical variety and a cool pet to grow attached to, it's the Ranger.
How long does the survey stay up? I'm dropping a Drake Warden into my regular campaign with a Druid who dipped into Ranger and will be able to take on Drake Warden this Monday. Would like to see how it plays out.
EDIT: "about two weeks" so I'll probably get two sessions in with a Drake Warden interacting with an established campaign. Oh well. Partially my fault since I had to cancel two sessions in a row since the subclass got realeased. I get that this is part of a production/development cycle, but it looks like the tests are more geared toward play testing in a "lab" than standing campaigns ... which is probably safe for all involved.
They do that way too often. They need to learn how to take constructive criticism, not just abandon something that got some bad reviews.

Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms
Survey is out now. Make sure to fill up the form to influence the game the way you want it.

I noticed that they now have a question for "have you playtested it?"
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
