So I have character rolls working perfect - both for myself as a player, and for my own players, for my sessions when I DM.
I pretty much just use Discord (don't use Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds, go the method of posting images and the rest is audio imagination).
Is there a way to - for example, if I look up HOOK HORROR in D&D Beyond, I see all the Beyond20 stuff attached to the stats - but since I don't use a VTT - is there no way to get monster rolls to appear strictly in Discord - the way character rolls do?
Where else are the rolls appearing that you don't wish to see and why is it important? If you disable DDB dice from showing up in the Beyond20 options, I think that's the end of what you limit. Beyond20 still pops up info about the dice roll you requested on the page you used for the dice roll before sending it to Discord.
Beyond20 is not made by DnDBeyond. It is made by a 3rd party and designed to link DnDBeyond and an online VTT named “Roll 20.” It has absolutely nothing to do with discord whatsoever.

Heh. I knowit wasn't made by D&D Beyond. What I was doing was reaching out to users here who might be using Beyond20 as a DM and have it so the monster rolls roll in Discord. To see if that's even possible.
And it does work in Discord, as characters. In the Beyond20 there's a section for Discord Integration specifically. As I stated before. But the monster rolls is the issue. It may not be possible to do monster rolls from D&D Beyond into Discord - I am just looking to see if someone's tried it and that's the case. It's not a problem, because then in Discord, I will just use the Avare bot for the monster rolls and have my players use Beyond20 - but it'd be sweet to have it all in one place.
Beyond20 is the thing sending rolls to Discord, the DDB character sheet is the thing generating them. The issue is that DnDBeyond does not have a way to roll from monster stat blocks. What you need is something that will get Roll20 stuff into Discord and use your Roll20 roller.
Actually, got this to work now by showing one of my other players how to configure it for their character - I discovered how to make it roll the monster stats/attacks/saves/etc., into Discord.
Since it does work, don’t you think it would be great to explain your fellow DM’s... since you might not be the only one interested. Good thing you find out by yourself but if you don’t share now this post becomes useless.

As to why Roll20- if you have slower/poorer internet connections and/or older computers in the group Foundry can overload the graphics capabilities. Roll20 is like rolling a mat out on the table and gathering around - some of us grew up on the feel and don't need the bells and whistles. Foundry is pretty and its graphics are astounding- and a very wonderful option in the marketplace.
If you're using Discord you might want to consider the Avrae bot instead. You can track initiative, do any number of interesting things with automation, and roll attacks and spells from any monster card IF you own the source on D&D Beyond. Avrae updates are consistently appearing in the changelog. Most standard abilities (all sources, not homebrew) have already been aliased. When I first tried Avrae it wasn't working well but now it works REALLY well. The only disadvantage is that the GM has to type commands.
I if you link your campaign to discord with the !campaign command any rolls made by your players on their character sheets will show up in discord automatically. Monster rolls still need to be typed but, considering the other advantages, it just isn't that bad.

I was using Avare before I found Beyond20.
One thing that was odd (and maybe this has changed? Or I wasn't doing it right) - each time you use a different character, you would need to !upload (or whatever the command was) your character.
So I DM several games, and some of my players are in those different campaigns - so they'd need to do the !upload command for that character.
I found Beyond20, just much easier to use over all (much easier to use visually too). Because you just click whatever you are doing from D&D Beyond, and it rolls.
99.9999999% of my game is theater of mind, but the occasional time the party is exploring a cave or a maze, I will throw a map on Roll20 and use that - and let it roll into Discord and Roll20 (which is nice, because I use Discord as "source of truth" for when I do my recap notes for each session).

You definitely shouldn't have to upload more the once if your players are using the same characters. The command !char <character name> switches your active character, but your player's characters should be associated with their discord account, not yours. For instance, if I am playing on your server (with Avrae invited) and I type !upload<character link> the character gets uploaded my Avrae dashboard, not yours, even though I typed the command on your server. If I type the !char command it should allow me to pick from any character associated with my discord account. If a character is in the campaign linked to your server, dice rolling on the sheet should link to discord as well.
The problem with dice rolling from the sheet is you can't use the -target argument which automated saves, damage, and resistances, and other things. If you don't mind doing your own calculations the dice roller is fine, but Avrae has some pretty great automations right now. Bardic inspiration, Rage, and other core class abilities all apply and track effects through initiative automatically if you use the -t argument correctly.
All that said, I realize Avrae is not for everyone and can be quite unintuitive. It does seem to be the only thing comparable to a VTT getting official support from D&D Beyond right now though.

Argh - sorry, I wasn't clear. So same players, different campaigns, but same server (so they're using different characters in the different campaigns). In all honesty, it's no different than opening a different character in D&D Beyond. But myself, and my players, found just clicking away on D&D Beyond and Beyond20 sending the dice rolls was easier, then doing the match and/or tracking accordingly on the character sheet. It also frees up my scattered brain from trying to remember specific slash or -commands that Avare uses! :D
(That said, my former boss at work in his games, his remote games they all use Avrae!) So it definitely is a matter of preferences and definitely works also, quite well from what I see (I am on that server with him, but for a different game, where only one of the users in our game is remote the rest of us - now safely, play in person if we're all feeling well).

So the problem is - if I roll as a character - the rolls appear in Discord. As one might expect. That's awesome, when I am a player.
But let's say now I am a DM - not using Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds or anything - just Discord - and I go to ... say the goblin page on D&D Beyond.
https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/goblin
I see all the Beyond20 "icons" next to all the stats.
However, when I click it - it doesn't roll into Discord. It doesn't roll anywhere, except on D&D Beyond.
I get the option Select Type of Roll and I select Public. And it gives me what it rolled in D&D Beyond - but not Discord.

Can you share your solution?
and the solution was .... ?
Holy crud. My apologies. I don't know why I didn't get notifications. Just saw this floated to the top of my threads!
So the fix I found - I have it set to Send To All VTT (this will send it to Roll20 and Discord if you're using both). Or there's a discord option.
Naturally you need to have the Discord Integration set up on your Discord server so it knows where to put the dice rolls.

Wait wait wait, Is anyone using Beyond20 in Roll20, instead of Foundry? What? Why would anyone use Roll20? Is like... going to work riding a horse.
Roll20 is free is one reason, probably.
