A member of The Lords Alliance asks the party to investigate a village going silent. When investigating the party finds that the village is completely deserted but Gnoll tracks can be discovered nearby. After tracking the Gnolls back to their camp they'll discover that some villagers were kept alive to be kept as prisoners in cages to be tormented. The Gnolls of the warband are covered in strange mushroom growths. The warband has 2 fangs of Yeenoghu, 3 Gnoll hunters, 6 Gnoll flesh gnawers, 13 Gnoll warriors (common gnolls), 10 Hyenas, 1 Barlgura, 1 Shoosuva, 2 Maw demons, 4 Gnoll witherlings, 10 Manes, 1 Leucrotta, 3 Hill Giant cultists, 1 Maw of Yeenoghu and are led by a Flind named Immor who has a weapon still imbedded in an old wound. Immor sees himself as above his pack and has no fear of death, however his desire to torment his foes could give the party an opportunity to outwit him. There are 5 Ghouls led by a Ghast who linger near the camp and scavenge from the war band's meals while avoiding the Hill Giants.
This is interesting. This implies a level of foresight an planning most gnoles are implied not to have, so this could mean a next step in their evolution which has alot of potential (both for good and terrifying).
The Mushroom growths also seem to lead me to think one of the other Daemon Lords is in charge of this, or at the very least a major player (forget her name but she is the patron of decay and fungal growth). That said, that is a lot of powerful critters for a low level party. May want to split some of them up so they don't become appetizers.
It's basically a humongous demonic hyena horror with 8 legs. To illustrate the size, those things it has hanging on its back are supposed to be mammoth skulls. I imagined the mane around its neck to be made of a ghastly fleshy amalgam of hundreds of hyena heads which are constantly wailing. It's only standing on 6 legs because it constantly hungrily gnaws on its front 2 legs, so they are usually rended down to the bone and unusable https://19216801****/https://routerlogin.uno/ .

Well, the mushroom growths were a trait I rolled coming up with the warband it has nothing to do with Zuggtmoy.

By the way, what did you see as different? I just went off of Volo's Guide.
I think it has potential. It reminds me in my previous GREYHAWK campaign i used similar Gnoll Warband, when the party did return to the Village of Hommlet, only to find remote farms raided and occupants not massacred onsite were taken away. They tracked them back to the old Moathouse, where there was Gnolls, Fangs of Yeenoghu, Gnoll Hunters, Gnoll Flesh Gnawers, Flinds, Hyenas, Giant Hyenas and Gnoll Witherlings performing a wicked ritual involving live sacrifice to Yeenoghu. The Gnoll Warbands was using this lair to launch raids in the Kron Hills, Gnarley Forest and surrounding lands.
Have you thought on expanding on the mushroom growth? Perhaps i can even have a bigger role in the adventure or put a certain twist to it in some way.
I liked the link between Yeenoghu and Leucrotta/Hyenas, Shoosuva/Hyenas and Hill Giants/Maw of Yeenoghu. Giant Hyenas could definitely ties to Hill Giants Cultist of Yeenoghu.
This is just my gut speaking but the monster counts on those seems very high for 5 5ths. Gnolls are higher end humanoids as well. If any of those groups hit the party all at once, that is probably a TPK. The smallest band is like 30 creatures; outnumbering the party 6 to 1 https://xender.vip/?
There'll be several encounters hopefully against party of higher than 5th level when they face the most powerful enemies as some are CR 9 or 10. Or else TPK is almost guaranteed.
Maybe the Gnolls camp is set up in Grolantor's Larder from Bigby Presents: Glory Of The Giants? That way there's plenty of distance to separate the encounters. You just add a few normal-sized tents here and there. But then there's the added risk of the PCs not wanting to leave.

The Giant Hyenas might be a good idea to add. Maybe the Giant Hyenas belong to the Hill Giants since they worship Yeenoghu.

Well, I got most of the ideas from Volo's Guide to Monsters and Bigby's Glory of the Giants.
Maybe since the Hill Giants worship Yeenoghu they might appear more Gnoll-like being more brutal, hunched and sharp-fanged.
