I am new the D&D beyond. Our DM got the Master Teir to allow the players to use it as well. So I do not have subscription if that matters for my question.
1. I have made my charcter a Forest Gnome Cleric. Was pretty easy to do, my questions is does the character sheet have a die roller? Can click on action and have the weapon and have it roll "to hit" and Damage? that would be very useful feature if can't.
2. I went to make a 2nd character to test with and I do not have a Forest Gnome option for race. Is this a limitation of the "free" subscription? Also is the 6 characters a limitation for the free version as well? kinda figure it is want to make sure.
If there is a die roller for weapons and spells that would be enough to make switch over to it. Like all the info I can quickly pull but it would be nice to to bring my tablet a game.
-There is not currently an integrated die roller. One is being developed.
-Forest Gnome is not a free race on DDB as it is not in any of the free PDFs WOTC has distributed (Basic Rules, SRD, EEPC). The one you made must be in the campaign with content sharing turned on. Content sharing character sheet optionsonly applies to characters in campaigns.
-free accounts are limited to 6 characters. Either level of subscription removes the limit for characters.
-since some people miss this: The subscriptions add some features (no adds, no character limit, access to tools in alpha, ability to add public homebrew to your collection, and, for Master Tier, content sharing) they do NOT provide content (aka “books” or “sources”). Those must be purchased individually.
-You can purchase options like the Forest Gnome individually; you do not have to purchase the entier book/source they come from.
ok thanks. I figured it was something like that. I am surprised there was no dice roller, but I do like it. May wait till it is in there to buy it but is pretty good overall.
There are apps for dice rolling. Hell, my partner and I often decide who is driving us in to town by asking Siri to roll a d20. Plenty of options.
As for the Forest Gnome, did you create that character as part of the campaign your DM invited you to? The shared content isn't account wide for you, only for characters that are made in the campaign that you have been invited to.
Beyond was primarily developed to add smoother gameplay and strong resources for local gaming. So, things like a dice roller are/were back burner developments as most local tables have collections of physical dice people prefer rolling with versus a computer generated roll. But, with interest and demand has also come certain developments such as the encounter builder, combat tracker, etc. The dice roller is in progress and is coming.

And the cool thing is if you purchase something individually, the prices comes down on the book if you decide to buy the full resource later!
