because the Yklwa is not an applicable weapon for the Armblade. all applicable weapons are listed in the Armblade's item profile.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
All that matters is the Yklwa isn't a weapon that RAW can be used for an armblade. Probably because A) it's a crap tier weapon at the best of times and B) it came from an adventure that has magical versions but a mundane version doesn't actually exist, except as a consequence of how Beyond built the item system

Okay, fine. Maybe I want to say “it should be included”. It seems silly not to be included. From a player perspective it seems silly not being there - regardless of how you tier the weapon.
D&D has a rule that all a player needs to use the materials from a new book are that book, and the PHB/DMG/MM. The arm blade therefore can only be things found in E:RftLW, the PHB, the DMG, and the MM. Since the Yklwa is not found in any of those 4 books, it is not eligible.
What you're asking, Vox, is "Is there any good reason, in the lore and/or story of the universe, why my warforged cannot use a yklwa as their armblade?", yes?
The answer is "Yklwas are tribal weapons, traditionally used only by a select few elite warriors of a specific region within the Tomb of Annihilation adventure. They do not exist and are not generally available outside this region, unless the DM permits otherwise."
If you're asking for a mechanical reason why a warforged cannot use a yklwa for their armblade? Because yklwas break the weapon table and were a poorly thought out addition to the game. They're known for causing problems similarly to the rapier, as a one-handed simple weapon with a 1d8 damage die.
If you're asking why DDB specifically does not allow this mechanical interaction? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Most likely for the reasons given above - Tomb of Annihilation was not meant to have warforged in it and Eberron has no Chult in it. They're two pieces of content from two different games, and given the yklwa's questionable legality outside a ToA game at the best of times, easier to just say no.
On DM's Guild there is a free pdf for exotic weapons. I'm sure it has some kind of hidden blade weapon. But if your thinking of assasins creed you could just get your character to stick a retractable dagger beneath their bracer and have some kind of additional stat bonus for flavor.

Why are weapons missing from this list?
i wanted to use a yklwa but the option isn’t there. A trident is listed but that’s bigger. Why is this? Any way to get it working?

It was more a question as to why it isn’t applicable. What makes a weapon applicable?
it doesn’t make sense as it is essentially a short spear. I can store a spear as an armblade, but not a yklwa? Doesn’t seem to make sense

That makes sense, but I’m pretty sure there are things from newer books that apply to older mechanics?
