Hello! Apologies if this has been answered. I did some searching and couldn't find it.

I homebrewed a race with two additional subraces. I tried to create a character with the race/sub race but the race and the subraces were showing up separately in the character creator. So I googled and  I re-saved the race after I added the subrace to get rid of the "there are no subraces" error. Then I went back to character creator and still couldn't choose my race and then subrace (Miqo'te -> Seeker of the Sun subrace). The only choices were the subraces.

I made a copy of the character sheet just in case, but I'm having the same problem. My character only has the racial abilities of the subrace and none from the primary race.

I hope this makes sense. Does anyone have any tips for getting the races and subraces to play nicely? Happy to offer any additional background! Thank you!

Subrace for homebrewed Races do not best like the official ones do. The current workaround is to name them “Race, Subrace” so they at least group alphabetically.

Thanks so much! I can port over the racial traits over to the subraces so both subraces get the benefits of the main race then.

Subraces automatically get some traits from the parent race. Whatever traits you give the main race will automatically get applied to all attached subraces. Whatever you traits you attach to a subrace Will only apply to that specific subrace.
