This is my first post. If this is in the wrong area, could someone please direct me to the correct forum?
I want to create a feat that scales based on a counter. For example, for every successful hit, add a 1d4 to the roll. Two successful hits mean 2d4, 3 means 3d4, etc. I recognize that DnD Beyond cannot count what would constitute a successful hit so rather would it be possible to have a counter that I could update on the character sheet and the corresponding dice be rolled? If there is a 2 in the location, roll 2 dice or 3 roll 3 dice. I would like to do this without needing to go into the homebrew and edit the item but on the character sheet.

Thank you all for any direction,
