Hi everyone, I'm trying to make custom items with custom attributes (AC bonuses, damage, etc.), specifically I am trying to make Nemean Lion skin armour that adds a higher AC bonus than any armour type I have available to me. I've seen people use codes like SET=11 and things like that but I'm not sure how to use them properly. Any tips?
I am wanting to add a custom damage value, like using a great sword deals 2d6, but I’d like to add more than that. And to add certain conditions the weapon can cause. I’be also been trying to make custom races with specific aspects like that with the codes but have been unable to because I can’t find the codes or how to use them

Oh I see, and yea I also wanted to make a magic armour sorry for the confusion, I was juet hoping that there would be a similar mechanic tk change the ac it gave you
Is there somewhere that I can find all of the codes? I assume there’s more than one. And with that one are the arrows included in the code; is it written as is?
I am now trying to add racial bonuses to a homebrew race; I want to make a Variant race of human with an extra Strength bonus. I chose modifier type: Stacking Bonus->Modifier Subtype: Strength Score->fixed Value:5.
I did all that but it doesn't add anything to the strength score. I tried it also with the Modifier Type: Bonus as well but that didn't work either. Any suggestions?
Okay, try this. Add the base race’s ASI to that racial trait as well, and then set it to replace the base race’s ASI trait. I think there’s maybe some conflict with having ASIs from both the base race and the variant.

What precisely are you trying to accomplish? I ask because I can’t properly tell you how to do something if I don’t know what you want it to do.

Wait, I thought you wanted to make some kind of lion skin armor?
Its not possible to alter a weapon’s damage dice, nor is it possible to add a special damage roll to a magic item.
To add damage rolls like that to a race, you don’t use Modifiers, you attach an Action to the racial trait.

There is. Sorry, I only just noticed that you had replied.

They aren’t “codes,” you have to add a Modifier, it should make sense when you open the Modifier subform.
No, there is no list.

That works well! Thank you!

Are you trying to add a +5 bonus to the Strength score? That’s a whole lot.
You want to use: Modifier: Bonus->Subtype: Strength Score->Fixed Value: X

Is the character’s Strength score already 16 or higher?

I turned the strength score down to 11 to test it out but it wouldn’t apply the bonus. I tried using the fixed value type as well
Did you check the “hide on character sheet” box?
