Not sure how to explain this any clearer than the title. I've created a feat based on a homebrew concept with my DM, an arm cannon my Warforged can use a set number of times per long rest. The arm cannon is supposed to have a DEX 15 save DC, but since the action creator insists that I MUST include an Ability Score Type, that ability score seems to be overriding the save DC, instead adding the To Hit bonus even though the save DC is set up on the sheet.
Here's a screenshot of the Action page as I have it set up.
And here's how it looks on the character sheet. (The upper, not the lower. The lower was created on the character sheet itself, so I couldn't add the charges per long rest).
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Why is the "To Hit" bonus overriding the Dex save no matter what I do? (I've also tried changing the Ability Score type to every type of score and it's not made any noticable difference)
It’s because you selected an “attack range.” Leave that blank.
Okay. Just tried unselecting it, but it's got a red star and it's insisting it has to be active since it's a weapon attack.
EDIT: Okay, got that working. But now the +3 to damage from proficiency is gone. Do I just need to enter that part manually on the character sheet then?

It wasn’t a +3 damage from Proficiency, it was from Str. And yes, you should just have to make it a “spell” action.
