I've created a weapon that has multiple damage types, slashing and piercing. But when I share it with my player it shows the first damage with its damage type, and in parenthesis it shows the second damage total but not its type.
This is what is shows:
DAMAGE
1d6+3(1d8+3)
DAMAGE TYPE
Piercing
I expected it to show this:
DAMAGE
1d6+3
DAMAGE TYPE
Piercing
DAMAGE
1d8+3
DAMAGE TYPE
Slashing
So any idea why its not showing both characteristics in the character sheet?
I've not subscribed yet, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks for the help.
What you are describing is not matching up to what you are explaining. I don’t know how you programmed it, but what you are describing doesn’t sound right. What you are describing is more like how Versatile would display rather than any additional damage type.
Either way, it seems like you are trying to make something that works similarly to a Flame Tongue weapon. The official way to attach a second damage type like that is with the following modifier:
Hi team, I just want to bump this back to the top of the list. I've got a homebrew weapon with multiple damage types on hit (bludgeoning and radiant) and I'm really keen to see it all in a single roll (split out obviously) without having to manually roll the extra 1d8 for the radiant damage.
Do the devs have this on their roadmap? If so, any idea when we might see it?

Hi Segnett,
How did you manage to get multiple damage types in the first place? I can only seem to get one...
Thanks!

Modifier: Damage->Subtype: Slashing->Dice Count: 1->Die Type: d8
Even official items like that cannot currently roll multiple damage types/dice at the same time.
Basically, same as this person:

I am also stuck with this.
