It’s just as valid as any other method. As long as you want higher stats it’s fine, but it’s not for everyone. Instead of adding 6 to each pair, it might be better to have 6,6,4,4,2,2 or 6,5,4,3,3,3 and be able to allocate those to each pair as the player sees fit, just to have the higher likelihood of getting at least one or two stats below 10. It would still likely result in higher than average stats in all the main abilities for each character, but not higher than average across the board. Just a thought.

Just what some feed back and what peoples thought of the following.
An alternative method of rolling character stats.
This method generates a slightly above average stat line.
e.g. I roll 12D6 and get the following
5, 6, 3, 2, 1, 3, 5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 5
Then I pair them up as follows and add 6 to each pair.
