Adder is sleeping in his room, snoring like a monster.
Xan is messing with necrotic-based magic in the library.
The sky grows a bright orange even though it is only the morning. The tree's, bare from leaves, sway quietly.
Vyklade is outside, wandering around and occasionally stopping to write something in his book.
A chuckle resonates in the back of their head. The woods seems to grow with thick black vines.
He gestures for Murph to come a little bit closer as he writes this down.
One of the vines snaps out to grab you (make a Athletics check)
11
You are now grappled. You can continue to make athletics checks to break free or acrobatics checks to slip out
*If this is a magical effect, Vyklade has advantage.*
Normal: 17

*Woooo!*
You are able to break free from the vines. Sticky orange glowing liquid sticks to your clothing where you were bound.
He backs away from the forest, taking samples of the liquid and vines stuck to his clothes.
You hear the sounds of cracking twigs under foot as something rushes at you. (Please make either a Dex or Str save to either avoid being knocked over)
22
The dredge slams into a tree and screeches
*Seriously, did Talbot steal the Dredge's skin or something?*
The ground around the Dredge turns black with shadows, as umbral arms reach up to grab it.
The area within 15ft of the Dredge is difficult terrain, and it must make a Dex save.
*XD I modified them for DnD combat a bit >:)*

FAILURE! MUAHAHAHA!
The Dredge is now restrained. It can make an Acrobatics check as an action to try and end it.
Vyklade takes off his gloves, revealing his black, clawed hands. He holds one out, and wisps of shadow flow toward the Dredge
Attack: 16 Damage: 10 cold
It hisses and tries to move. (Acrobatics: 10 )
(Fail)
Another wisp of darkness.
Attack: 24 Damage: 9
It hisses again and its going to use THE GLOAMING. (basically teleportation)
Shadowy tendrils wrap around the Dredge. If it wants to use a magical ability, it's going to have to make a check using its spellcasting ability. It doesn't add its proficiency bonus unless it is proficient in Arcana.
If it fails, it does not use that ability, and if it has spell slots or limited uses, that use/spell slot is wasted.
Also, because of the cantrip, it has disadvantage on its next Str or Dex check.
*I apologize for my behavior. Taking away someone's autonomy is evil, even if it is part of an inside joke. Personally, the type of trickster Galax is pisses me off to the extreme.*
*Have you heard of litterally any of the enchantment school spells? Thats like.... 10,000% their deal. Also, i'd like to give this rule, which although i'm not a mod and nobody has to follow it i'd still like people to take into account. Unless its going super far like non pg-13 stuff or its affecting your own characters, let the person who's character is being affected make the choice of if they want to veto this. Just from a long time tavern-goer to a more new one, we get stuff like this all the time, and it fixes itself if people are upset. And two wrongs don't make a right ya know :3*
*Also, small tid-bit, i find it absolutely hilarious that the dark forces consider making someone british on the level of whatever the heck strahd did. Really shows where they stand. ;D*
*Thank you Alaric*
*No problem. Also, stating for the record that i'm not taking a side. Mostly.*
