The Baron sends an arcane eye to scout ahead across the trail, while he follows behind at a safe distance.
The eye comes upon a cave.
It enters (darkvision 30ft) while the Baron waits outside.
The eye fizzles and winks closed at the cave boundary.
The Baron summons Sir Gloam (A wyrmling) and sends the small shadow dragon inside.
As the cave opens wider, the ground near the walls are littered with corpses. But something is wrong. All of them are shattered grey stone, and strange whorls are impressed onto the dusty ground.
The Baron pulls out a mirror and looks through it as opposed to looking directly at the cave as he investigates.
The passage breaks of into two corridors. The litter of corpses gets thinner.
The Baron goes down the left one, taking Gloam with him.
It leads to another cave, this one with a statue in the middle of the room. It depicts a soldier groveling while looking up.
The Baron gives the statue a wide berth, making absolutely sure not to step within 5 ft of it as he investigates the cave.
A mural is partially cracked on one wall, debris blocking a corridor. The mural depicts soldiers in the same armor of the statue fleeing from a beast.
The Baron tries to cast a cantrip as he leaves for the other passage, still staying away from the statue and looking through the mirror.

I turned back the clock on Yazrin, so he's more like how he was when I first introed him in End of the World, so no issues from him. Only two romantic roleplays (and one is only potential) are Soldaer and Iralias, and I tried not to make those two too... much, if you understand, even back in End of the World. If I start stepping too close to the line, please, please let me know. I'd rather not be kicked form another tavern, lol (lighthearted).

Air genasi is on the roof of the tavern, looking at his magical powder.
All of the undead have migrated to a tall, black tower that appeared overnight. The Baron comes to the graveyard with an umbrella and a picnic basket and sits down.
Rani sees the tower for the first time, and stares at it. "Did you, uh, make this or something?" he asks the Baron.
"Yup." The Baron starts setting up his picnic. "It's much less intrusive than Duskfall, so I decided to put my friends there during the day so we don't disturb others."
He gets out his food, which mostly looks normal, except for the obvious humanoid pieces.
"Well that's thoughtful of you!" He pauses. "Who died to make that meal?"
"One of my own knights. He was a stupid, evil man. He slaughtered war prisoners for entertainment. He serves the greater good better as a picnic than as a knight. Or a father, for that matter." He sets up a fire and begins roasting a perfectly preserved head.
"Sorry he had to die, then. More food for you though, so I guess it's a win. Is the inside of the tower worth a look?"
"Not really. The spell I used didn't allow me to get very creative with the architecture. If you came to the shadowfell at some point, I could surely show you something interesting, though."
