"Those who are summoned here today nearly match the strength of minor gods. And, if they win. . . They will be far more than minor gods."
8 ultimate warriors have been summoned for the final battle, to compete in the arena known as Section 9. Each the paramount champion of their race and class, now is the time to see who is the greatest of them all. Each champion has pushed the very limit of strength that they can achieve, and now will face their final challenge. If they win, they will no longer be mortal, but a god.
This competition will include combat, and min-maxing is encouraged. However, it will also be a competition of your flavor text. For example, during a fight, if one person says “I shoot him with my (Long ability description) and deal 590 damage”, while the other says “Enora soars over the mountaintops on her Colossus. Her eyes lighting up in a vibrant blue as she sends a lightning bolt crashing down on her enemy” They participant playing Enora would win the fight.
The 8 participants who write the best lore for their character, and show that their character will be a competitor, will enter the arena. The arena is split into 8 evenly sized slices, with section 9 in the middle. Each section is the perfect environment for the competitors, and will compliment their corresponding champion perfectly. However, to stand any chance in the final arena they will need to travel to the other sections.
Each champion will have one month to prepare, in which time they will fight other competitors to gather magic items, epic boons, and the three keys required to enter the arena. When one month has passed, all champions with three or more keys must travel to section nine, or be killed before they even have a chance to enter the final arena. All rewards can be received from completing weekly quests, defeating powerful monsters, or overcoming difficult challenges.
Each champion is unique, each representing both one the great 8 races and classes. Participants must choose from among the list but each number may only be picked ONCE. So If I wanted to play a paladin, but someone else got that number, I would have to choose another class. Your race picked doesn’t have to match the corresponding class.
All champions start with 1000GP to buy basic starting items (No magic items, or items that can’t be easily carried such as a carriage.) However, throughout their month of preparation, participants can find magic items. The harder the challenge they face the higher level the magic item is. For example, the character will find common magic items everywhere, even if they aren’t trying, but if they overcome a perilous challenge, they might receive an artifact.
Information for those wishing to compete.
2014 rules are used, so make sure that you're using the correct source of information.
All characters' race and class must be chosen from the available list.
Characters start at LV20, but may not have multiple classes unless given special permission.
1000GP to start off to buy basic nonmagical items.
You must use either point buy with 30 points or the following ability scores. 16-16-16-9-9-9 16-15-14-12-11-7 15-15-13-13-12-12
Share with me your final character and lore for approval, as soon as we get all 8 spots figured out and arranged we will begin.
The time from the start will be about one month, it will be a little more than one month IRL as time won’t progress in the game if no one posts.
If you are on of the eight participants and don’t contribute at all, your spot will be passed to the next in line.
Overall, just be a nice person, keep everything PG13 or under. I'll include some extra rules about that when we are getting ready to start,
If you'd like to help mod, please contact me, it's going to be hard running a game with 8 LV20 characters,
have a lot planned for this, but that will all be revealed when (Or if) we get some interest. If you have and questions feel free to send me a PM and I'll try to answer as soon as possible!
Sorry for how long this turned out, have a good one everyone!
