(If anyone wants to start a new room as the DM, that’s fine with me.)
Thoruk yells "I got it!", holds the bag up triumphantly, then seems to slide sideways through time, which hurts your eyes to see. Thoruk's not there any more. He didn't seem perturbed, or indeed even to notice.
(Thoruk is cursed with accidental plane shifting and multiverse hopping - he'll be fine!)
Now, for the room ahead of you!
Harmony & Jerry (I believe you're the only two left in here right now? Anyone else, speak up!), you find yourselves at the end of a wide corridor. At the end is a circular, stone doorway, with 7 small indentations in it, and no visible handle. The floor below you is stone. Between you and the door is a pedestal, on which there are 7 amulets.
Along one side of the corridor are 7 other corridors, leading off to the left. You can see down the closest one, and indeed can also feel the intense heat of the pool of lava which makes the floor. At the far end of it, you can make out a small pedestal on a stone platform.
You approach the table and there are 7 amulets, laid out. Each one has an icon on it, and none of them are the same. You recognise the icons as being from monsters and creatures which you have encountered in the past:
An Iron Golem
A Storm Giant
A Mouse
A Fish
A Spider
A Zombie
and An Ooze
Looking at them, you see that they each have a small hole through them, below where the chain is attached. The hole in the Iron Golem amulet contains a small crystal, which is glowing.
One of the hall ways is lava filled? “MENDIGOOOOOOOOO go run down there, see what’s on the pedestal” Mendigo is in infused with a fire elemental so he *should* be fine.
He’s a human sized puppet made of dark wood held together by gold joints with not detail, clothes, or human parts other than a smiley face scorch marks. He’s infused with a fire elemental so he *should* be fine.
What happened to the good old days when we had consistent posts, and new people, page ten was the dream…
(is there a way to track some new players here? It’s slowly dying, we have three adventures when we used to have twenty-ish. If we all put it in our description signature things, and do some other stuff, maybe we can continue? I just really don’t want it to die I have so much fun here)
I think it got a bit muddied and such, hopefully it'll straighten out again! As for consistent posts, I tend to post daytime GMT, on weekdays, so that's where my sudden disappearances come from!
I would say that Mendigo would have resistance to fire damage, rather than immunity, especially being made of wood! wading up a long corridor of lava, which you don't know how deep it is, may not be advisable!
I think it got a bit muddied and such, hopefully it'll straighten out again! As for consistent posts, I tend to post daytime GMT, on weekdays, so that's where my sudden disappearances come from!
And I’m often on weekends PST daytime. I can see where the trouble is coming from!
The furthest hallway seems to be full of a green, sickly looking mist. It doesn't seem to leave the hallway, and at the end you can see another plinth, identical to the one you saw down the lava hallway.
Looking down each of the hallways, from the one closest to the exit to the one furthest, you see:
The hallway full of greenish mist, at the end of which is a raised lectern on a stone platform.
a set of stairs which descend into murky water, with the roof sloping into it as well. A waterfall cascades from a large pipe, which is coming from the left, towards the next corridor:
a stone wall, a mere 3ft. into the corridor. An arrow painted on it points to a tiny door set by the floor, about 2 inches tall. You can see the pipe from which the waterfall flows in the corridor to the right, going through the stone wall above you.
a huge door, fit for a fortress, with a giant doorknob some 15ft. high.
A narrow grill of bars, blocking a short drop to a large corridor which leads to a raised lectern on a stone platform.
A short corridor which at first seems to be a dead end, but you quickly spot that the ceiling gives way to a corridor which goes vertically upwards some 100ft, to a ledge. A narrow drainpipe runs up the rough stone wall, but when you touch it, it is impossibly slippery.
A corridor whose floor is made of lava and walls are rough stone, at the end of which is a raised lectern on a stone platform.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Harmony attaches a rope to the end of her crossbow bolt and attempts to shoot it at the far wall of the lava room, at a reasonable height. (She will of course secure the other end of the rope first) Her goal is to create a rope to crawl along the bottom of to reach the lectern. She takes half damage from fire, so she's probably the best to try this!
I dash down the hall after Jerry.
Only spilt the party if you see something shiny.

It’s probably the only thing Jerry cares about more than fire.

Ok, jerry would NOT be sending Mendigo down there then.
edit: don’t know how that “not” didn’t end up there…
